As we come to the end of our build with Mckimm, we are delighted to write this review as working with McKimm for the last 2+ years has been such an exciting, positive and enjoyable experience. We have heard so many horror stories from friends about their building experience, and ours has been the complete antithesis.

Our journey started over 2 years ago, when we met with Nick McKimm. We were impressed with Nick’s professionalism and the amazing design of Nick’s house.

We began working with the incredibly talented, Lorenzo Garizio, to design our house. Lorenzo listened to our brief, and completely ‘got’ us and we were blown away when he presented us with the design for our dream home.

Professionalism oozes throughout the organization, and we have been extremely impressed with the whole Mckimm team. From the amazing Design team, who helped us design the interior of the house through to the building/construction team. Their attention to detail is second to none.

We would highly recommend McKimm as they are an absolute pleasure to deal with!

I would not hesitate to recommend McKimm for a domestic house build after building our architect designed home with them.

The team are always professional, friendly and no concern was too trivial to discuss. When variations came up, whether through us changing something or through unexpected events (like needing a bigger gas pipe), the costs were transparent, fair and market appropriate. It was easy to keep track of what all elements of the build were so there were no hidden or unexplained items in the build contract.

Throughout our 15 month build, I had fortnightly site meetings with the McKimm site manager and the team which were helpful, informative and productive. Even the administrative and office management team were helpful, courteous and responsive. Special shout out to Tammy Naismith in the office and to James Fullerton, who managed our site for us for much of the build. They both went above and beyond, as did many of the team.

We are very happy to recommend the McKimm Building Company. They completed a major renovation and extension to our house 18 months ago. The job went seamlessly. The design team lead by Lorenzo and Veronica gave us a brilliant house. Our site managers Adam and Tom were always helpful and keeping us up to date. Their team were very professional.
