McCoppins - Clifton Hill

Usually I really like mccoppins and when I thought of a business that sells premade meals and deli foods to prepare a care package to someone in need I thought I would call them and see if I could order some things over the phone and pre-pay for someone they said it wasn’t possible. The person who answered the phone was quite rude, said that I wasn’t able to pay over the phone and didn’t seem like they wanted to help me at all so I ended up taking my business elsewhere to piedemontes down the road who were lovely. If you’re looking for somewhere to get a good care package for someone with precooked meals and good customer service give this place a miss and go online to pidemontes and order what you need there. Their staff were friendly on the phone and very helpful. Unlike mccoppins unfortunately. I try and support small local businesses as much as I can but the customer service here left a bit to be desired in this instance. Perhaps some further training of staff is needed.

Love it.just a little expensive and I buy far too many scrumptious things every time. Actually if you're wondering what to do for dinner they are well stocked with high quality ready-made meals and lots of ingredients you may not find in regular supermarkets. I dare you to leave without at least one item more than you went in for!

Great renovation has created more space for excellent products. Australian Made is a common theme & the local cheese selection is impressive

A small local supermarket with a fairly comprehensive offering. Many unusual, boutique brands available at a price.
Super wine selection and good deli service.

Been going to McCoppins for a while. Although some products are on the expensive side, there’s a great selection of food and drinks, and good quality ones too!

Excellent quality deli, bottle shop and mini supermarket that’s been a great supplier to locals in Clifton Hill for years. Nice friendly staff and service

Best staff, produce amazing deli and wine.
We took our haul back to our 5 star hotel and had best meal of our trip. We would drive from Canberra to stock up from this store it's wonderful

Amazing range, but you pay a premium for it. A good option if you're in desperate need of something, but just watch how much it adds up to.

A surprisingly good range at premium prices, explained by their high staffing level. If you are willing to pay for cheery personal service, you'll like this place. (I'm kinda cheap and wouldn't shop here all the time, but I appreciate they're doing well at what they're aiming to do.)

Get yourself a picnic hamper and skip the deli queue! I was a bit nervous balancing this precious cargo on my bike, but I made it safely to Darling Gardens. What a feast! What a treat! And to top it off, limited excess plastic packaging. You can package with your bottle of preference (red, white, rose, sparkles or no bottle!)

Every thing that you need is there plus some prices reasonable, extremely clean, customer service excellent

This store is good for the deli and a few niche items hard to find elsewhere, but you wouldn’t do your regular shopping here as the range is too limited and expensive.

Jennifer at McCoppins Clifton Hill was AMAZING with helping me organise the most perfect birthday hampers for two of my friends during lockdown. She went out of her way to send me photos of all the beautiful options and made sure that I got the most out of my budget. My friends were so excited to receive the hampers and I couldn't be happier with the service I received; from my initial enquiry to delivery!

First time visit today. Really nice store with so much options of good quality of products. Sadly, I had unpleasant experience when making the payment. The cashier was welcoming the other person during the checkout, but give me such unwelcoming gesture towards me. Not even a thank you or offer the receipt. Oh well maybe he had a bad day.

McCoppins has everything you don't need but everything you want. From the Yarra Valley Pastas & Ladies Who Shoot Their Lunch chardonnay to the D'affenois & the rest of the deli, this place is the place to be for foodies. If it's in your 25km radius then you should go. Now.

Honestly, the staff of happy hipsters give you the air of a friendly supermarket - until you want something. Wouldn't take the glad wrap off the (presliced) bacon half an hour before closing. Home made sausage rolls 6 for $10 and won't sell you less. And again last night, locked the door a couple of minutes early and refuse to make eye contact. Certainly not people people. Fortunately there's a new place over the road, I got dinner after all.

Best independent grocer around. Excellent range of ethical and locally sourced produce and fantastic staff to boot! The deli is killer!

Fabulous range of products from basic through to gourmet. Such friendly service, it makes shopping almost enjoyable

A good super market for more exotic and uncommon things, but expect to pay exuberant prices for things far cheaper elsewhere.
