In 2015 I had a work place accident which left me permanently blind in my right eye days after the accident I knew I had to seek legal help even though my work place was covered by insurance and was good about my needs and support. A friend of mine told me they were with Maurice Blackburn lawyers so I went straight to them and thank goodness I did they were polite and overwhelming with support and knowledge of the things I was going threw after 132 weeks of being paid from my work’s insurance my payments just stopped and I thought that was it for me but Maurice Blackburn gave me a courtesy call as they always did to check up on me I told them my payments stopped cause that’s just wat happens and they got it reinstated for me I was so relieved being a father of 4 kids to take care of. Even after Maurice Blackburn lawyers got me an excellent payout result for pain and suffering they put to me that I could have a chance for negligence in the work place which took a couple of years in my case but they got me another excellent result and without them I would have nothing. My name is David and I have been associated with Maurice Blackburn Lawyers over the past 5 years with regards to workplace injury claim. I was allocated Celeste Shambrook from the Greensborough Branch to be my Lawyer and all I can say is I won the lottery with Celeste. Celeste was the most professional, outstanding, understanding Lawyer I have ever met to take on my case. Celeste took the time to get to know me and my family situation. Celeste then took very detailed notes on my company workplace and my individual circumstances and then documented everything and then got me to read what she had interpreted with regards to my workplace injury, all the points that I had made to make sure that what I had said had been understood correctly. Celeste kept in contact with me the entire way through the process, She was always wanting updates on any personal changes to me as an individual and she would speak with me about the reason for my changes and when I was admitted to hospital and if my medications were increased or decreased. I had a bad accident. And Maurice and Blackburn represented me. It was a long process but they took care of everything.

I had an almost three year battle with Vic Pol and Gallagher Basset. It was tedious and traumatic for my entire family. Nicole Moretti and Lachlan Fitch were amazing and never gave up on my case. They fought hard alongside me. Nicole acted as my therapist at times and guided me through the ridiculous amount Paperwork needed on days when I struggled to just get out of bed. They shared my frustration, listened to my many teary rants and provided much needed understanding in the most compassionate and empathetic manner.
