Maternal and Infant Wellbeing Melbourne - Lactation Consultant & GP reviews
5Absolutely amazing, great doctors awesome staff (Maddy). So happy we found them.
Beautiful, calming and welcoming space and Dr Amber is amazing, very helpful, knowledgeable and has a kind and caring manner. Highly recommend
A beautiful space with a wonderful medical team. Amber is an incredible GP lactation consultant who has saved our breastfeeding journey. Without her kind and thoughtful input our bubby wouldn't be breastfeeding today. We also saw Anneke the paediatrician (with a 2 week turn around time from referral to consult!) who is equally lovely and provided a thoughtful and thorough assessment and plan for our unsettled baby.
The day stay area provides a delightful view of the nearby parks, and we often have a leisurely feed and chill on the comfy chairs after our consults. We never feel rushed and the doctors are always happy to address our shopping list of issues in each appointment.
I cannot reccomend MIWM enough!
I highly recommend seeing Amber and her team if you have any troubles breastfeeding or with other aspects of parenting. She is extremely knowledgeable and sensible as well as being lovely and reassuring. She works from experience (personal and professional) as well as having a strong evidence base which I really appreciate as I have a medical background myself. The day spa experience is just amazing and very good value for money, especially if you’ve hit the Medicare safety net. In one day I had almost 3 hours with Amber for 3 separate feeds, a tongue tie procedure, Physio appointment, sleep consult and massage, as well as a lovely lunch and lots of snacks. All of the consults were excellent and the practitioners were amazing. Georgie, the lovely doula, took care of my baby while I attended the appointments which was just fantastic! I felt rejuvenated and refreshed after the day. I won’t say all our problems are fixed (unfortunately there is no easy quick fix for us!) but we made great progress and I feel more confident and reassured about the way forward with our feeding and everything else. I would strongly urge any struggling mother to consider the day spa if it’s affordable for them - it certainly beats rushing to an appointment at a specific time and then trying to tackle feeding / changing / settling while also getting the information you need out of a consult!
Dr Amber Hart is exceptional in every way. She went out of her way to assist with my breastfeeding issues and always followed up with phone calls and emails after appointments. After seeing several doctors and lactation consultants with no success, Amber was able to diagnose my problems and provide adequate support/medication. Highly recommend - Amber is one of a kind that really does go above and beyond!
