Honestly the only job provider who's helped me in Ballarat. The others ones did not understand my needs and wants what so ever. Here they actually listen to you.

Matchworks were really helpful in helping me get a job and motivating me not to give up. I'm actually moving into a new job shortly and I couldn't have done it without my worker (shout out to Steve!) he was able to go over my resume and cover letter with me as well as helping getting me clothes for work. On top of this, Matchworks helped me get my licence which was one of my biggest goals! They helped pay for my driving lessons and my licence. Thanks Matchworks! I am very grateful for the team:)

These guys are amazing its great to deal with a job agency that wants to deal with me as a person and not as another job! Em and the team have always there to support me when I need it and I feel like everyone there has a genuine care for the people they deal with and actually want to help on a human level rather than chasing numbers. If only they were all this good!

Can not thank Em and the Des team enough for all the support they give me.
Steve found me employment and they make sure I have everything I need.
The Team helped me gain my licence which gave me the ability to get to work on time and not walk in the rain.
Em is always there no matter what time of day it is.
The team believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.
I can’t not thank Matchworks enough but especially Em and Steve you guys are Amazing.

Never help. Always appointments waste of time they have never helped me get a job. I've never got a job that they have ever put me forward for. I always seem to find or get my own job or work by myself.
Anyway since covid pandemic started, I started up my own business and being my own boss. Best thing that I have ever done. So now I don't have to look for work.

I run my own business which has been significantly impacted by Covid, hence the sign up with Matchworks.
Im appalled at their making appointments and not showing up even though i did and their general indifference.
I think they need courses in customer relations and being their word.
If they were one of my employees they would no longer be working for me.

They don't return your calls and suspend payments and black mark you because they can't take 10mins to call so it's easier to screw you up.

Do yourself a favour and please don't go with this group, no communication what so ever, they never call back.

I have been feeling depressed and suffer from anxiety for many years. I have been facing court on a warrant and was scared of going to jail for graffiti. The black guy at Matchworks helped me and spoke to the police along with an employer and he got me a job. He stood with me at court and the judge wished me the best with a fine. So grateful!

At first my agent was polite and seemed friendly. The more sessions I went to the less help I got. She actually blatantly told me “You’re great cause you do all the work so I don’t have to. ” Now I may have misunderstood what this business is meant to do but I assumed they were meant to help people get a job. But it seemed because I met all my requirements and was finding jobs she couldn’t be bothered helping me. I wanted help finding a job, I thought they would have connections to offer me positions that weren’t available online. If I could give less than one star I would. Absolutely horrible.

Always made me wait forever even though I had an appointment. Never assisted me when it came to job seeking or preparing for an interview. Never even addressed the fact I couldn't afford appropriate interview clothing. Put down the wrong details about my situation, didn't correct it for months. Had me in the wrong stream (A instead of B), but still put me in Work For The Dole based on stream A guidelines even after I was placed in steam B. Lied to me to keep me with them, telling me my university course didn't qualify me as a Student on Centrelink, keeping me on as a Jobseeker for six months longer than I should've been. Even the man sorting everything out at the Centrelink office was angry when I told him about my experience. Honestly the worst service provider I've been with since I've been on Newstart. I don't think they give a damn about you at all. When you're given a choice over providers, AVOID, there's two others in Ballarat.
