Master Lanzhou

The food was amazing and everyone was super kind to us i definitely recommend this place to eat at.

Absolutely delicious Lanzhou beef noodles! The broth was flavorful, noodles were perfectly chewy, and the tender beef slices were a treat. Loved the authentic taste and cozy atmosphere. A must-visit for noodle enthusiasts!

Always my favourite spot for noodles. Great flavour. This is my favourite one. Cold noodle with bit chilli and thinnest is friendly for children. Really recommended.

Noodles are always delicious however ordered extra noodles but came with less soup than previously.

Overall, we really like Master Lanzhou!
But, I just had a pretty disappointing experience for dinner tonight, so I’m here in hope of creating a solution, cos we intend on coming back.

I ordered a dry noodle dish, and for the first time selected the thinner of flat noodle. Normally, I order thin, so perhaps that had some bearing on the situation.
As usual, the food came out almost as soon as we had ordered: fast, fresh and hot. Love that!
I spent about 2 mins helping to serve some food to my 18 month old son, and then I focused my attention to my own food - I was really looking forward to eating it.
Sadly, the noodles were all stuck together and clumped in a big bundle. I tried mixing, in vain, and eventually asked the waitress if she could possibly bring me a fresh plate, because who wants to eat a noodle cake?
She took the plate away, then a few minutes later another waitress came back and essentially told me that they weren’t going to replace my noodles, and that I should have mixed it right away. She gave me a side of soup to add moisture to the noodles.

Okay, so, that felt really stingy, especially when I didn’t feel like it was actually my fault that the noodles had clumped. It seems pretty poor that failing to mix the noodles in under 2 mins of receiving them should result in sub-standard and significantly reduced eating experience.

I have three suggestions for the management about how to address this problem in the future:
1. Rinse the noodles before serving in a dry noodle dish - this prevents them from sticking, and if you dunk them in boiling water again it will warm the noodles ready to eat.
2. Mix the noodles with the sauce before serving.
3. Simply communicate with the patron upon delivering to the table that the dry noodles need to be mixed right away.

These are simple, low cost solutions that could prevent future disappointments.

If you got to the end of this review, please still go to Master Lanzhou. 9/10 times it will be great. If, by chance, you get a disappointing meal, just don’t expect the staff to be generous in their customer service.

Fresh noodles, very reasonable price and extremely clean restaurant. I will come back and recommend to all my friends

I used to come here 2-4 times a week. I’m sorry but lm so sick of getting nothing but chunks of fat instead of meat. Such a disappointment these days. My last visits l got all fat chunks and one cube of meat, the chief also decided to put a huge hard thing in my soup.
I won’t be returning here lm sick of it. I wish l could upload the photos.
Doncaster SC has great eateries that are always consistent. This sadly isn’t one anymore.

I have been coming to this restaurant for the past 2 years, and I have always walked out happily. The noodle texture is great and taste is just amazing. Highly recommend

Food was delicious just don't expect much topping on your noodles, even if you add extra through their self service ordering system.

For 2 people I recommend getting one bowl of noodles (there's a lot of noodles in there) and 2 or 3 side dishes.

Tonight I finally have the pork cartilage noodle soup which wasn’t available in other branches I visited. The soup tastes so good! I used to think their soup was a bit salty to me, however this time I order on a card payment kiosk and selected less oil and less salt, and overall the flavour is great.
Though tonight is almost full house, their customer service was amazing!

I love the beef broth, it was so good. The noodles was perfectly cooked as well, just a little mistake with my order that it was specified with no coriander but it comes out with full on top and I have to pick it out myself.

1. Taste bland. The beef cuts are not tender at all.
2. Five of us ordered different selections with different noodle thickness between us.
3. However when they came, they are more or less the same thickness! Poor quality control or the chef just couldn't care less
4. Highlighted to the waiter and showed him my Thick noodle compared to another which is Thin noodle. They are the same thickness but he insisted mine is slightly thicker!

Beautiful beef noodle soup. The noodle texture and taste are excellent, and the beef was high quality. The serving size is large - one bowl was enough to fill my appetite completely.

The taste is tasty and authentic. It is worth the money too, not too expensive. The restaurant is very clean too.

Probably the worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time.
Thought; "Oh. There's a line outside so it must be good. " Boy was I wrong. Lined up and was seated fairly quickly, just to realise that I had to line up again to order from the ridiculous ordering station where people are standing picking what they want.
Food came very quickly (so there's that). Nearly had my dish in my lap as the wait staff barely got my dish on the table because they weren't paying attention.
Now to the food itself. I ordered the Spicy mince pork noodles. They smelled and tasted like dish soap. Had only a couple mouthfuls before giving up.
Partner ordered the signature beef noodles. Barely had any flavour.
On the side we had bbq chicken wings (under cooked, and just had a unpleasant flavour), the cucumber (had wayyy too much sesame oil), and the bean curd (was dry and simply not nice).
The best thing was my Fuze Mango Green Tea.
Massive waste of money as neither myself nor my partner got anywhere through our meals or sides.
I will happily never come here again, and can only hope the next time I come to Doncaster SC that this place has been replaced by something better.

Great place with tasty food - noodles are very nice and bbq tastes nice too. Awesome customer service!
