Masala Dosa reviews
65Amazing food and best of best authentic south Indian cuisines I've had in Melbourne. And at an affordable price! Way to go Masala Dosa!
We have visited Masala Dosa a number of times. The quality of food and choices are really good. The ambience is not at a restaurant level, but we keep going back for the quality of the food at reasonable prices too. Can get busy during peak times.
Good Place to enjoy authetic desi food, especially roti. Might need to travel a bit far to reach the location.
Masala Dosa.the name itself sounds delicious so is the food. We had catered food with Masala dosa yesterday for a 50 th birthday for 100 people, fantastic delicious food, the food was appreciated by everyone, both Veg and non veg was outstanding
Veg menu: Ghee rice, baby corn manchurian, and paneer gravy
Non Veg menu: Goat Biryani, chicken kurma and Chicken chuka
along with Raitha and desert - carrot Halwa
Thank you to the owner Babu Rajendran, a very dedicated person with his quality of service
The only South Indian restaurant in the immediate area. Food is tasty. You'll need to be patient. Large take aways. I particularly love the South Indian Style Omelette, Uthappam, Masala Dosa and masala chai.
Loved the place. Tried the Gobi and paneer manchurian for starters and both were delicious with good portion sizes. The plain dosa and masala dosa were also tasty and filling. The veg biryani was refreshing along with the raitha. Special mention for the mango lassi and filter coffee.
Also would like to thank the staff as they were incredibly co operative and flexible with us ordering a little late too!
Crowded, drab and uninviting. But all is forgotten the moment you start eating. It is still my best place for true South Indian food.
Extremely delicious biryani! The food takes a while to be served during peak hours and weekends as they have plenty of customers. It is simply a result of how tasty the food is. Worth the wait!
This is one of the best south indian restaurant in Cranbourne west. Nice and neat restaurant with not so big space but it's okay. When comes to food, it's very tasty I have tried vegetarian dishes. One thing I can guarantee without any doubt is the yummy "masala dosa". Customer service is good. Affordable price. This place is good for the family but parking is bit hard sometimes. Most of the vegetarian foods that I have tried are tasty. This restaurant is recommended to families.
Really enjoyed the food. Got Ghee Dosa, which was nice and crispy and rhe chutney was also very good. Paratha and chicken curry was also really good, paratha was very flaky and beautiful. Will definitely be back.
Opened promptly at 11 am as advertised.
Ordering was easy, and service was quick. The masala dosai was delicious and crisp. The non-vegetarian thali had generous portions also very tasty.
Dining area was very clean, as were the cutlery items.
Parking is limited, so come early.
I would strongly recommend this establishment to family and friends.

One of the best indian restaurant in Melbourne.very delicious food
Highly recommended
Great food and been consistent over years. I have seen them attempting to improve dine in and customer experience over the years. Meals are priced optimally and quantity is just right. Sambhar is good enough for us not minding to pay extra for more servings. Keep up the good work guys!
Great food, very tasty and freshly made. Good portion. Service is good and reasonable prices. One of the best South Indian food joint in cranbourne area. Definitely come back again.
Worst food ever. My whole family had stomachache for 3 days after having cheese dosas in this place. Think cheese is expired or spoiled. Do not recommend this place.
It wasn’t that great dinner today, the food was cold, and she refused to take our words. Arrogant lady owner.
We are never disappointed with the food. Excellent south indian thali served on the weekend.
Ordering over the phone is a bit of hit and miss.
We have recently ordered vegetarian food with Masala Dosa for a function. The food was tasty and appreciated by everyone This is one place I would recommend for consistent quality, taste, and customer service. We have also visited the restaurant a few times and got amazed with delicious north and south indian food.
Go-to place for authentic south indian food in Melbourne.
Sambar (yellow lentils cooked with tamarind and a dash jaggery along with other spices) is the closest to the taste of sambar you would get at an Udupi restaurant in India.
We always start with idli and vada dipped in sambar followed by different dosas every time.
Cheese chilli garlic dosa has precise amout of ingredients and it is one of my favourites.
Also, tried veg thali (only on the weekends between 11am and 3pm) recently and loved it absolutely. Rassam was ️.
Staff is friendly. Service is usually good though can get sluggish during busy times.
Highly recommended.
The food was delicious. Service was slow but we think they just forgot our order. It was really busy too. We will be returning for sure because the dosas were crisp and the sambar was spot on perfect. We had mango lassi for takeaway and it was delicious.
