MarketPlace Fresh Templestowe - Fruit and Vegetable Market reviews
22Bought the grandmother ham two days ago and has already spoilt and gone off. Had a feeling I was sold old stuff considering the display ham wasn't used.
I've been here a few times now and I can say this place is good to do my fresh produce shopping. The veggies and fruits are fresh and very reasonably priced.
Wow went into this place today and it was so fresh and vibrant
Produce was great quality at good prices
Also great for your pantry staples
Give it a go locals! It was a great atmosphere
Sold my mum expired full cream milk she was in the hospital for a week and now cannot eat any dairy products whatsoever
Service lacked friendliness and warmth - store seemed to be manned by young kids on the day I visited
Heaps of parking. Clean, spacious store. Good range of products - some being unique to speciality stores, honey for example
Only improvements could be that the young staff that were working (under 25), I believe, could have interacted with the customers a little bit more than the one encounter at the register. Also the store seems a bit too spacious for the level of stock presented.
Would also love to see something presented out the back of the store - whether it be plants/trees or grassed area
You can find all fruit and vegetables you need
The price a little expensive but worth the quality
Highly recommend coming here to see what they have. Its similar to colonial fresh in Doncaster Westfield but waaaayyy cheaper. They do stock more variety of asian fruits and vegetables too (including korean radish, taro, thai eggplants and the list is endless!). Maybe less pantry and frozen food items but so good with the fresh produce!
First impressions
Old school atmosphere, lovely assortment of fresh produce.
Will be back to buy more.
Nice and conveniently located. Verity of vegetables and fruits. Ample parking and friendly staff members.
Fairly basic variety in the non-fruit/veg section. Would like to see more cold meat varieties, pasta options (fresh in the fridge and packet). Their deli offerings are not extensive. There is a coffee shop available at the front which you can access without having to go through the store. Plenty of parking available. Aummans on Warrandyte has a much larger variety of pasta, deli offerings, fresh food and ingredients which they should replicate here at MarketPlace Fresh.
Great spot for a coffee and treat and buy your vegetables, fruit and selected groceries.
Pleasant environment with courtesy staff and service.
Great place, good quality and friendly staffs!
Even Though, the road was closed due to roadworks; the store’s still open 5 days a week according to its schedule. If you can't find a way to get into the shop, you can ask the road worker, they will show the way to get into the shop.
Fantastic Range of Fruit and Veg. Have been there 5 times over a few weeks and it has been a mixed basket, more bad than good.
I think I was unlucky to receive fruit that had to binned, I asked to leave a note to the manger withour complaining but that went nowhere. Visit 3 bought a 10K pumkpin it was mouldy and today bough 3 hot smoked mackerels they went though more expensive. I said to the girl that wasn't the price on the shelf, I said OK but I'll check straight after as there were customer behind me. Did that and I was correct. Went back to the counter, m the girl had left and had someone else and was told it was my problem as the price on their system was $13.99 and it didn''t matter was the price tag said.
I would have taken a polite refund for the miserable 3 * $2, but with that attitude, and third bad service in 5 visits that is the end of me.
2 is perhaps generous. I make it 2 as they do have a good selection, otherwise it would be a definitive 1
The coffee at the cafe is terrible, but the customer service is worse. No need to be rude when you get an order wrong and then slam coffee on counter when you correct it.
It's great! It really is like a market. I must admit I didn't really check pricing but the variety was fantastic. The quality was there with most of the produce. I noticed the swedes were bearing their use by date. We also stopped for coffee and cake. The price of their indoor plants was amazingly cheap and they were healthy to look at. I am really pleased the Market Place has opened near me. You have a new customer.
Lovely fresh produce at reasonable prices. Great to have Ned's their, no longer have to travel to Sth Yarra for my Ned's fix
Great range of fruit & veggies at a competitive price, nice to have a market that's local to me.
They sell a variety of international foods/condiments and also have a coffee and pastry shop operated by Neds Bakes.
Note that they're currently only open Wed - Sun.
First spotted this great little market on my way through to Greensborough and was pleasantly surprised with the range of fruit and groceries available!
The site even has a Cafe, Delicatessen and a reasonable collection of Asian goods in the back corner. Would love to find out when the food in the back courtyard is available but the concept does look interesting.
Prices were okay, not quite like Morabito in Thomastown or actually making it to the Preston market but for Doncaster it's actually nice to have Marketplace Fresh as a nice local option.
Plenty of parking, produce is very well presented and it looks like they had plenty of staff to assist.
Attempted to do my weekly shop of groceries here for the first time. Found they only had small sized trolleys that require a $1 coin to use them. I don't carry cash and suspect not many people do in this climate. Ended up shopping elsewhere. Such a shame.
