Market Street Occasional Child Care Centre reviews
10 All the staff and educators are lovely people. They’re all caring and engaging with the children and have great relationships with the families. My 1 year old daughter loves coming here and it’s amazing to see that’s she’s picking up skills from the daycare.
The facility itself is clean and filled with toys and provides a safe outdoor area where the children can run and play.
We first started to use this centre 6 years ago when our eldest was 8 months old. We were drawn to the multi-age approach and multi-cultural setting. Our youngest has also attended this centre since he was 6 months old (now 3).
Because I work full time, it is very important to me that the people caring for my boys are not only well trained and knowledgeable in their field but also consistent - both boys have extremely close relationships with their carers at this centre because the same people have been around their whole lives. Even now the big boy is at school but like likes to have a weekly "check in" to see how everyone is going.
The setup of the main room has so many different activities on display that there is something to tickle the fancy of every child. Even so, if the child has a particular request, the staff will find a way to include it in their day.
The garden outside is also brilliant for exploration and imaginative play - our boys have spent many hours looking for dinosaur eggs in the sand pit or in between the grasses in the garden beds.
Definitely the perfect place for our children to be!
My children have been attending here for five years. I have always found the staff caring and actively involved with the kids.
There is a strong bond between the staff and my children.
I am right with other people what they saying about this child care, yea the satff is not nice and also the children's crying in this place when locking the door or calling no one answer ring, I really don't like and people if you guys love your children's don't leave to that centre find another good places for them here is not better for the kids.: (
This center is great. My daughter has been attending for two years now. The staff are all highly qualified, kind and patient. The have a very experienced center manager with lots of insight into early childhood and preschooler needs and behaviour. The center is run thoughtfuly and efficiently. I beleive children recieve the attention they need. They have a qualified kidergarten teacher and they have four year old and three year old kinder programs. It is a community based not for profit center run by a commitee of parents. It is very fexible and it is probably the only occasional care center in the region where you can claim the government childcare benefit and childcare rebate if you work or study. They have very reasonable hourly and daily fees but they do everything for the kids, different kinds of arts and craft, cooking and excersions. For an occasional care they also have great open hours from 8: 30 to 5: 30. They provide the safety and peace of mind of a center and almost the same flexibility as family daycare. There also isn't the hassle, limitations and extra cost of long day care centers. If I need an hour why pay for a day? I am self employed and my work load and work hours fluctuate and vary each week, so if this center wasn't running I probably would not be able to work or I would have had to go for family day care which for me was just simply not something I would consider.
I have had my now 4year old at this centre for about 2-3years now and she absolutely loves it as do I. Workers are amazing and highly qualified. All workers have there first aid certificate as where other daycare only "1" person on site has to have there first aid. It's run by a amazing Manager who has been doing this for way longer then Iv been alive. My child loves her friends and teachers talking constantly about what she's done all day and her first trip to the Library and making heaps of different foods from around the world. The faked that my child gets to celebrate different nations holidays and different religions I find amazing cause she is learning equality among nations/religions witch I wish more schools were allowed to celebrate. "As for children crying" you have probably gone to drop your child off as have most parents in the morning and not all children are 100% about there parents leaving so they cry for a bit till they get over it, my child did this for almost 4months before she just wanted to hurry up and get inside, she never wants to come home now always telling me to sit and wait for her. All children have difficulty with this it takes time. All I can say is if you want your child to be in a safe place with highly qualified teachers that actually know what there doing you should definitely bring them to Market Street Occasionally Daycare!

If you love your child then you cant leave your child in this unprofessionally managed child care centre.
Children are crying all the time, children are left unattended, staff is rude & not Friendly at all.
This Centre should be closed as not good or children
