I just completed the 5 day "Timeless Tasmania" tour with Mark, it was absolutely amazing. For anyone considering doing one of his tours/workshops i would say don't think about it any longer and book it now. Highly recommended,

The one day course was excellent, with Jason the instructor on the day, who was friendly, patient with the class and knew his subject matter.
The practical shot locations were excellent.
The technical handbook supplied was first class with lots of useful information and internet links and reference after the course.
The food and drinks was excellent at the St Kilda cafe.
I will be booking another course later in the year and highly recommend this to other photographers who what to know about landscape photography and get the best out of their camera using manual settings and filters.
Only improvement is provide label name tags, was hard to remember every ones name.

I have just completed my first 5 day workshop (Great Ocean Road) and have to say everything exceeded my expectations! The dining and accommodation were great, the bus driver was great as was the vehicle. All the participants were terrific and got on together. Jason was amazing. I learned a great deal in the 5 days that I didn't think I could. He provided quality 1: 1 tuition to all, made things easy to understand. I learned so much that I didn't hesitate to book another workshop.
A huge thank you to everyone. Definitely one to remember!

Hi

I had a great time and learnt a great deal about both my camera and photography from Jason on the Magical Mornington workshop and can't wait to see Cairns.

The theory was well set out for easy learning and Jason's explained the information in a way any age could comprehend.  The meals both lunch at the Royal Mornington and afternoon tea in Dromana were lovely and the small group made it easy to chat and communicate with the others there.  The highlight of the course and favorite place has to be sunset in Sorrento I have some really good photo's and some not so good but it was a really good learning experience and I would suggest the workshop to anyone who has a passion for or just enjoys photography as a hobby to do one or more workshops through Mark Gray Gallery

Thank you again and I am looking forward to Cairns in September with Jason again

1. Your Overall Enjoyment – Loved it. Made me feel very excited and enthusiastic to take more photos. Pity I had to work today I would have been out practicing if I could.

2. Value For Money – Good value for money for what you get and how long the day goes for. Not in everyone’s reach, need to save up. Mine was a gift from my family for Birthday and Mother’s Day.

3. Your Favourite Location – They were all good for different reasons but I would have to say Sorrento sunset.

4. Tour Highlight – There were lots along the way but the fact that we could get a photo of the pier at Sorrento that looked like it was still day light when it was dark was awesome!
5. Tour Lowlight – Because I had sprained my ankle not that long ago and couldn’t do as much or as easy as I could have normally. Jason was helpful to suggest other spots for me to set up if needed.
6. Quality Of Meals – Very nice, really enjoyed it.
7. Technical Sessions – Good, a lot to take in have to read over the manual a few times soon to make it sink in.
8. Personal Tuition (1 on 1 tuition while on location) Great, Jason is very easy to get along with and explains things as he goes.

9. Any Suggested Improvements? Not that I can think of.

It was wonderful. The other ladies were lovely we all had around the same experience so the day worked very well.

Thanks again Jason.

Mark's workshop was outstanding. I've learnt so much and feel more confident with my camera now. Mark and Rachelle were very patient and explained everything I need know in a one day course. It is definitely worth the investment. Taught me well. Thank you.

I was fortunate to have been able to attend the Mark Gray 'Sydney Splendour' one day photo workshop on Saturday 16th November 2016. It was amazing. The instructor, Jason, is great and his photography knowledge is phenomenal. In fact, he's just an all-round nice guy, who explains things in an easy to understand way and has plenty of one-on-one time with everyone. The day is broken down in to 'technical sessions', where Jason talks about shutter speed, aperture, ISO, camera settings, composition, light at different times of the day, and much more. You then move on to 'putting it in to practice' by photographing the most beautiful places, at the right time of the day to get the most from your photography, with Jason helping you every step of the way.

The day went so fast and we had perfect weather on our walkabout around Sydney. I've come away a far better photographer than I was before I attended the workshop. I thought I was a reasonable 'intermediate level' photographer, but soon realised that there was so much I didn't know. So, if you're a beginner, or someone who knows a fair bit about photography, you'll get so much from this one day course. You'll also be with other like minded people who want to learn, not just about landscape photography, but as photography as a whole. - i highly recommend it. I've attached one of my photos from the day taken at twilight from Milsons Point, Sydney. With the help of Jason, the others in the group and I were able to explore the use of creative long exposure techniques, which was awesome. Thanks to Jason and all the team at Mark Gray Photography!

Always love Mark Gray Photography Workshops! Excellent tuition from a top class photographer who has a genuine interest in sharing his skills. Great photo spots visited to allow a variety of great shots. The small group format allows for everyone to receive individual attention appropriate to their skill level. Workshop is well organised with meal and comfort break stops. Highly recommend to anyone who is interested in photographing Melbourne and surrounds.

This is a fantastic day! I've always had an interest in photography but never understood my camera's manual settings. The instructor was extremely informative and gave everyone one on one time! I am delighted with skills that I gained in such a short time) I highly recommend this day to everyone.

I bought a camera only a week before attending the workshop, not knowing how to use it, but after completing the course I now am very confident with my camera and I even took some photos on the day that are at a printing quality!

Wow wow wow! I am completely buzzing after completing the MARK GRAY 1 day Melbourne course!

So many good things to say about the day. The small group size, the extremely knowledgeable and patient instructor, the delicious lunch and afternoon tea.

All that aside, the best part would have to be coming home with a bunch of amazing photos I can proudly show off to all my family and friends!

I want to do it again!

10/10.
Hands down the best 1 day photography workshop going around.
- Fantastic Locations.
- Delicious 2 course lunch and afternoon tea at The Beachcomber.
- Jason was amazing. Very patient and knowledgable.
- Nice, small group of only 8 participants, so plenty of one on one time with Jason.
- Great value for money.

I'll be back to do another one for sure!

I really enjoyed the workshop that I attended on Saturday just passed. I learned a lot about my camera and how it works (and realised I need to learn more about it!). It was a great opportunity to just spend the day outside, learning in a fun and engaging environment. The group was mixed, but everyone got along really well and it made for an even better day.

Jason was a brilliant instructor and gave freely of his time. He was always checking up on everyone and I feel that he really took the time with not only the group, but also the individuals. Very knowledgeable!

You want to learn more about photography? Then this is a great place to start.

Thanks Guys for a well organised, fun day out.
No question was too difficult to answer with the tricks of the trade passed on. I'm definitely more confident with my 700D now.
I finally, can proudly share my shots! (with the flash turned off:)
