This place does the best spicy margaritas! The food was pretty good, tex mex style and tasty. Reasonably priced. 4 stars for the food became 5 stars for Eric’s great service and the amazing cocktails!

Love this place! Have been 3x in two weeks. The paella is the best I’ve tried. Great food, great margaritas and the staff are really friendly. My new favourite Mexican restaurant. Do yourself a favour and try it!

What a local gem! We came on a quiet Tuesday night and so glad we did. The paella is amazing - it was made to order (not too long of a wait, it was well worth it) so the rice was not dry at all and the flavours were bursting with freshness. Juicy and slightly charred chicken pieces and prawns on the paella topped it off! Fish tacos also fantastic, with the best corn tortillas I've tasted in a long time. Didn't realise tortilla quality could make such a difference! And the cocktails are so good too - frozen Marg's super refreshing and very reasonably priced. All in all, such a down to earth, local eatery that is such a welcome addition to seddon village. Thanks for the amazing meal and friendly service too!

Everything is delicious! My favorite is their fish tacos, ceviche (not in photo) and fajitas.

All the food was excellent, particularly the corn ribs, sardines and fish tacos. The Margaritas also tasted great. Can't really fault it. Great place if you want some Mexican food that is a good step up from street/fast food but just as satisfying.

Venue had a good vibe, a reflection of the old copper pot, none the less was a happy vibe

Started it with corn n king fish n some cocktails: n more cocktails n lamb shoulder n paella

Followed by churros n mojito mousse

Maria Bonita are aiming to be a casual fun venue n not an upmarket one as per Sim the chef/owner: staff is a blend of young n old: experienced n keen learners: sure this venue will grow organically

I’m super picky about my tacos and margaritas, both were incredible! The fish taco was the best! So much flavour in all the food. The best classic margarita.

Great new restaurant in Seddon. Great Mexican food with excellent service. We shared the fish taco and fajita, which was enough for two. Had my favourite Mexican beer Negra Mendelo and a good wine list. Worth a try

Walking into the restaurant I was expecting the venue to be revamped to have its own identity after taking over a very reputable fine dining establishment, but not too much had changed besides a big sticker on the wall. I was not getting much of a Mexican vibe at all, but still a lovely venue.and once we asked for the blinds to be pulled down, and all the guest at the table were not getting blinded by the sun we could then enjoy our cocktails and mocktails which were delicious. The food menu was small, and made even smaller when we were told either dishes were not available or changed.this is understandable, but disappointing as the menu was already limited. The food was nice but nothing special, and for the price I would have expected bigger servings or more unquie flavours.
The customer service was lacking that welcome factor, our waiter seemed very busy even though the restuarant was less than half full.
It was a bit of a "been there done that" scenario for me, but I give the experience 2 stars. 1 for the cocktails, and 1 for the waiter dropping dishes and cutlery as I found this very entertaining.

We had chilli garlic prawns, fajitas and croquettes. They were really tasty and full of flavour. The frozen margarita was also so refreshing. The service and atmosphere was good. Great choice of music
We really enjoyed our time there.
Gonna try tacos next time!

Excellent addition to Seddon. Good sized portions but the food is delicious with a great cocktail range.

Stopped in for some frozen Marg's and snacks, everything was amazing and reasonably priced. Will be back very soon!

Everything super nice, they welcome you with a big smile and friendliness, I ordered ceviche and it was a feeling of being at home. Super delicious, I will definitely return.

Every plate was wonderful & delightful, will be back to try everything. The oysters, ceviche & sardines were delicious, tacos were so flavourful. Highly recommend you add this to your list to visit. Staff & chef were super friendly & place is lovely. Must start with a passionfruit margarita A+
