27I was invited by a friend for a breakfast here and I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the food is great. The meal was big that I couldn't finish it. The staff is so lovely and the service was very quick. I will be returning here for sure.
The best Lebanese restaurant in Melbourne and the nicest owners you will ever meet the kindest people and the most generous
Great place, friendly staff. 10 out 10 coffees, we went for seconds and it was even better than the first round.keep up the good the work
1 of the best Lebanese restaurant in all of Melbourne, food is very good, but these guys services on other levels, very welcoming they mack feel more comfortable then you are at home, well done guys
The food was the worst. We’ve ordered bbq, fried kebbe, kebbe neye and steak. The lamb skewers were very chewy, the fried kebbe was very cold from inside (being frozen), the kebbe neyye was tasteless. The steak took so long, so we ended up having it take-away. The steak had a stinky smell. I really hope they improve the food quality because their atmosphere is very chic and they deserve better food quality.
Honestly this place needs to focus more on foods rather than trying to look like a designer restaurant in glenroy. The staff was terrible the food was not good at all, they’d also use the wrong dough for all the Manoush. It’s a nice place but would not recommend eating there at all. Like I said focus on the food rather than design. Good luck in future
The seafood bowl was terrible asked the waiter to cancel it but they cook the same dish for longer and bring it on the table. It ended up still being the same and we even got charged for it. Checked the bill when got home and every item on the menu we ordered, we had been charged $2-$3 more on top of the price of each item in their menu. Ended up paying $30 something more for what? If the menu says $38 for chicken mansaf why charge $41.80? It wasn’t a public holiday either so be careful everyone.
Food was fresh, tasty and appetizing. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Great atmosphere for a small group gathering.
I am really disappointed in this restaurant. It's absolutely disgusting how long we had to wait for the food. The food was also really bland and tasted like nothing. The strawberry mocktail didn't even taste like mocktail it just tasted like an ordinary drink from coles. I really don't recommend coming to this restaurant it wasted my money and my time.
Went for birthday dinner, ordered food but got someone else's plate which was cold so they said its on the house and I was like ok so then our food comes out and guess what it was cold and flavourless seems like it was pre cooked and reheated. So as we where eating the waiter came up and asks if we need anything so I said no then he comes back and starts clearing the table before we where finished, I didn't say anything I assumed it was a misunderstanding. So we sat there drinking our drinks then another waiter comes and starts spraying all over our cups and wipes table down while we are still sitting there to say the least I was gobsmacked so we talk to manager about this and she says "oh you already paid i would off gave you a discount" where she should have gave a whole refund. Disappointing Will not be going back.
Awesome joint. I have ordered take away coffee and dined in twice now. It’s such a beautiful place to go with friends. It’s reasonably priced and the servings are decent.
My child enjoyed the rainbow pancake and didn’t stop taking about them for a week. I had the big breakfast and it was HUGE and filling. The food was presented so nicely and the staff were lovely.
I can see some staff need further training but they seem on top of it now. I used to work in hospitality and can appreciate the effort of the staff. Haven’t seen the owners but thumbs up from me and my 2 girls. Will be recommending to friends and family.
Excellent experience. Generous portions. We shared the Chicken Maryland with rice, trio of dips and cheese cigars between two. All three dishes were of high quality in flavour, presentation and freshness. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely return.
Was a great experience I had today. The atmosphere is amazing and the food was exceptional. I ordered the butterfly chicken and Wagyu beef burger. The butter fly chicken was greatly seasoned and the chicken wasn’t dry at all, lots of chips which were amazing and we salted right.
The wagyu beef burger was cooked great and tasted good.
Will come here again to try out more food
Thanks Marcels
Marcels on west is definitely the place to go for breakfast, or lunch or light, healthy heart warming meals.
And please try their shanglish on pita bread soooooo light and tasty!
Thanks to their amazing pastry chef for always accommodating my request.
The staff are amazing! You feel welcomed everytime. I bring my colleagues here and enjoy the atmosphere.
Coffees are the best in the area.
Great deck out, fine little addition to the Glenroy shops. Got the steak sandwich? Was not the best: (the steak was sparse, overcooked and perhaps not the best cut of meat. Could taste blobs of butter throughout the sandwich which over powered the sauce. Didn’t present the best either. Maybe next time marcels. Willing to come back for another try.
Really great food and coffee. Staff are always really lovely and accomodating. Have been in for brunch a few times with my family now and it’s been lovely every time, the food is always awesome and our takeaway coffees and pastries in the morning are always on point. Fabulous venue, definitely worth a visit!
My partner and I were really impressed with our breakfast. I had the kaak bread with sujuk and cheese and the chickpea fatteh, while he had the big breakfast. This food is made with love and passion. Additionally, the orange juice was just divine in the Christmas Eve heat. What a beautiful treat in West Street.
Dangerously good food! Loved everything, from the ambience and decor, to the warm and attentive service, right through to the ultimate hero of the night, their seriously, delicious food. My partner and I can't wait to visit again! Well done Team Marcels!
Impressive decor and ambience, fantastic staff and service. Menu covers both Lebanese and western. Coffee and chai done to perfection. Always ask for extra hot.
Ordered the Lamb Benny which was lovely. A bit rich for breakfast but why not. Avo Royale is really good too and the sauce was amazing. Not sure what is it.
Will be back to try the Lebanese breads.
Portions are big and the quality of food is apparent. Kudos to the chef.
Overall a great experience. I’d give a 8/10.
I’m giving this place 5 stars because I genuinely feel like they do Lebanese food well however it was just not to my palette overall.
Lovely fresh bread though and friendly staff!
