Manuel Automatics

Had a positive experience with them in general. Toyota mechanics said my car’s gearbox has an issue, but Manuel Automatics checked it and said it’s totally fine and prevented me from paying large amounts on chasing what was essentially a ‘non-issue’!

Courteous and respectful. We broke down, RACV had a tow truck (excellent service there too) picked us up, car, dogs and two adults. We were dropped off at the auto shop.
Very clean very busy workshop. The mechanics all were busy, but directed us to the office where we dealt with a gentleman called Sunny, thank you Sunny for everything. Sunny contacted us during the repair and updated us daily, this was a reassurance as we had a deadline.
I would highly, highly recommend this business. Thanks all.

Harry very professional and reliable. I never had any problems dealing with him last 5 years.since then I'm taking my mercedes and porsche car are smooth after every service. Highly recommended who has European car.

I took my early Audi A6 there about three years ago but then got very sick and ended up in hospital
the quote went from originally about 2200 then to 3000 then I was told I needed a new radiator which took it to $3500
I was in hospital for three months and could not pick the car up and asked if I could pay it off then I ended up back in hospital and rang and said that I’m having further medical problems and was told no worries

then they hit me with a bill for $10,000 which apparently was storage costs of something like $75 per day
he tried to service a summons on me for this ridiculous amount and I ended up negotiating to pay the $3500 and get my car back
unfortunately I have been hospitalised quite a lot since getting it back and have only recently taken it to a reputable mechanic to get the roadworthy done and get it back on the road
he has told me that nothing has been done with the gearbox and it is still completely stuffed
so this mob have robbed me completely and done no work to my car or either taken the recoed one out and put the old one back in and still taken my money

they are the most disreputable lowlife mob I’ve ever come across
steer well clear of them and spend your money somewhere else with a reputable mechanic

Had a engine replacement in my old Astra about 6 months ago. Prices reasonable & the service was good. Happy to recommend

Very difficult to talk to if something doesnt go right.broken parts, no responsibility taken, endless excusses even after proving the part was at fault.wont return calls.not a fan of reviews, but i tried to sort this one out and got nowhere.

Non professional. Big ripoff, they give a quote but when they start repairing they keep charging more at the end you end paying much more what was quoted.
They replaced my transmission’s car and charged me a lot and after 1 week the transmission is failing, I’ve been begging them to repair it but no way! I had to lodge a complaint with VCAT, I’m waiting for the hearing.

Took my car here for a transmission repair cost me $3,000 a week later the same issues for why I took it there and they said it would cost $20,000 to replace the transmission. Would never recommend this place!

Was welcomed with open arms. The staff when you walked in were friendly and lovely and the fella that worked on my Ford (sorry forgot his name) was great and patient with me and did a full list for me that I need to repair as well on my dads car that I was using. He was awesome and did a great job.thank you so much everyone.

From the first phone contact to delivering my transmission rebuild the service was exceptional.

The old lady at the front is so rude to you and they are crazy expensive compared to other mechanics.
They also tell you things that are wrong with your vehicle when it really isn't.
Never ever again. Scammers.

ATTENTION. RIP OFF. "MANUEL AUTOMATICS" in Settlement RD, Thomastown, ARE ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS. 1. They STOLE all the brand new parts @$1000, I supplied for my vehicle, 2. Tripled the price I was quoted, and even with photo and inspection evidence, still deny it. MY VEHICLE IS UNDRIVEABLE, AND DANGEROUS, AS PETROL IS LEAKING OUT EVERYWHERE FROM UNDERNEATH. So, I had an independent inspection made else ware, With Quotes, for the replacement of the STOLEN PARTS, AND REDO THE WORK AGAIN, and we are in the process of preparing court proceedings presently. It's just a coincidence that the mechanic that did the "So Called Work" is building a vehicle the same as mine. I now have no choice, after 5 times of bring it back there, To get the work done else ware, and pay $1000'S again. I Will make sure, that the court results are known to the insurance companies they deal with also. STAY CLEAR OF THESE THIEVING SCAMMERS.

I went I install the child seats for my newborn. I got their number through RACV member portal. Even though I called in for appointment in the morning, they could find some time in the afternoon to fix the seats. Mechanic was friendly and happy to accomodate your needs.

Hi All I am very disappointed with the kind of service I have from Manuel, I must say very expensive, no relaibility, and no value of time, my vw caddy got transmission and oil leak issue with current, leaked start right after day 1 current after day 2 I am counting for transmission, please think for you what is right.
