The palace is beautiful esp the outside and the location is superb. It's wonderful to have the view of the zoo and the animals. The silence and the sense of calm is wonderful. The gardens are wonderful as well. The decor inside the hotel does not match the wonderful surroundings though-especially the bathrooms that are decorated in steel vs tiles or some other beautiful material. It makes the room look cheap and out of place. However the biggest let down is food. For such a pricey dinner (2course meal) the food was below average and I did not enjoy the main nor the dessert. The following day we went to Geelong to an Italian restaurant and paid 3 times less and food was superb. I would go back for the ambient but would eat elsewhere.

Stayed at the hotel the night before my brother’s wedding. Was very disappointed in the service. Our room was quite a distance from checkin and was given no help with getting luggage to the room. The door key did not work so we called the front desk with no answer so had to walk all the way back to get help. Went to the cafe which closes at 10pm had some dinner and then wanted a coffee and was advised they had already cleaned the machine and it was 9: 05pm. The hotel itself is beautiful and I cannot complain about room etc it was lovely. The breakfast buffet staff were is lovely and very helpful.

We have found the best 5 star retreat at this amazing Lancemore Hotel which we have visited 6 times over the past 8 years. We are treated with the best luxury services.
Joseph's fine dining restaurant
Maitre D Victor knew that our last visit in August was for my Birthday. It was such a lovely surprise to be given a Happy Birthday chorus accompanied with a delicous Birthday cake!
It has the best heated indoor pool & spa.
Not to mention the best open fire place in the original Vestubal where the Church of England ceremonies were performed.
The best place to celebrate a Wedding within the spacious Botanical manicured gardens.
We are looking forward to spending many more visits to this stately Historical Mansion & Lancemore Luxury Hotel.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff who have made this place such a sheer pleasure to stay & will continue to visit on a regular basis!

Beautiful hotel with a lot of history.great to walk around the grounds, rooms were nice, staff are very friendly, Buffet breakfast was not the biggest, but did the job. Wifi was not working during our time there, TV's are not smart tv so no youtube, netflix etc, gym is incredibly small.

We enjoyed of our time there

My partner and I made a returned visit to Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park for my birthday weekend. The experience was phenomenal as always. We tried the Sparkling Indulgence Package at the spa to celebrate, and it was such a relaxing and de-stressing experience. The staff in the hotel were accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure my partner and I were having a great stay. Thank you to Victor and staff in the restaurant for making my birthday dinner one to remember - they even came out and sang happy birthday! Thanks again to the Lancemore team, we will definitely return.

We did a couples spa day and it was so lovely. They were able to accommodate my massage to a pregnancy friendly massage. The package included time in a hot tub (we could adjust the water to be pregnancy friendly), and some treats (including a non-alcoholic mocktail instead of champagne for me). I highly recommend this as a baby moon option!

My partner and I checked in for a two night indulgence package but despite the lockdown being announced, in the six hours we had there, we had the best service and were made to feel so welcome. It's such a romantic location with the gardens and heritage buildings and the interior of the lobby is just beautiful. We felt extra spoiled in the restaurant, Jospeh's - the food was exquisite and the service was thoughtful and attentive (special shout out to reception staff, James and the restaurant team). We will definitely be back and can't wait to explore the spa and other hotel facilities.

Booked in advance via telephone for Sunday lunch and surprised to find lunch not being served just high tea. Despite advising waiting staff one of guests does not eat cheese, items arrived with cheese. All issues were resolved and we had a nice afternoon tea. We have enjoyed high teas in Victoria and other states and feel the price is higher and nothing different to warrant this. Gravel driveway and carpark in poor state of repair. We have visited multiple times over past 10 or so years and the condition just continues to deteriorate.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The renovations are discreet and add to the beauty. Staff are exceptional.

I am disappointed by the facilities and cleanliness inside the hotel. The rooms are so outdated, it smells a little bit like a hospital or retirement home through the halls and is just generally stuffy.

When checking in our beds were not two as requested, and later we also found the previous guests underwear and top in our room. I mean.human error is ok but still definitely not a 5 star experience or worth $400. The cafe is also more like something you'd see in an old shopping centre.

The bright side is that the staff is all extremely professional, nice and welcoming. Super accommodating and made our stay a good experience nonetheless.

Of course the grounds are beautiful but I think that next time I'd just spend the day there instead of actually sleeping in one of the rooms.

Accommodation was very good, except for the thumping noise during the night which I might attribute to the air conditioning unit or some other machinery that could have been located on the roof above our room. This intermittent thump (about four or five times each hour) kept me awake half the night.
Staff were excellent, very friendly, attentive and willing to ensure you were looked after. Amenities were excellent, but we thought that the flooring near the pool needed some attention.
The restaurant was a real letdown.very comfy seating and great outlook. Not good in the mornings if the sun was up and streaming through the windows. (sunnies definitely needed) Consideration for the use of blinds or some other kind of shades might be appropriate.
The menu was adequate if you weren't hungry or were on a diet. Very spartan. Not a sign of bacon for breakfast, but we were advised that if we had asked for it, it was available. (for an extra cost?) No condiments for toast, not even butter/margarine. My evening meal was a seafood pasta dish that had one calamari ring cut into about ten pieces and six pippies all mixed with the pasta and sauce. Lots of salt. The entree was marinated raw fish (about one level dessertspoon) with grapefruit (?) and jus. Is this the norm for restaurants now a days?
Service was ok but very slow at times.

We had a package deal with the stayover and some of the details shown on the internet were not quite up to date.
Overall, a lot of positives, mixed with some glaring expensive negatives.

The Mansion was pretty nice but we did find the rooms pretty small and the bed was a bit so soft for my liking. The breakfast was also a bit underwhelming.

Unfortunately our stay was a huge disappointment. Definitely not a 5 star hotel.
Firstly, when we arrived on time to receive our room, it turned out that the rooms were not even ready yet and we had to wait in the foyer for 20mins.
The rooms were fairly small and they only offer queen size bed. Families would have to split up if there are more than 3 members. During the night the room can get quite dark as they don’t have lights on the ceiling, only small lamps around the room. The bathroom was very small with the toilet right by the door and a narrow metal bench and sink. In the bathroom, there was only one hook above the toilet to hang clothes. There was no convenient powerpoint to plug the kettle to, only in the bathroom and on the floor beside the bin.
We were told the pool was a mineral pool, however as soon as you walk in you could very easily tell that it was a chlorinated pool. We later found out that the chemicals were so strong that it caused our jewellery to blacken and our skin to dry and itch. We were also made to believe that the pool was heated, but it was not, it was even slightly cold.
For breakfast we were told that it would not be a buffet due to COVID, but would instead be à la carte. So, we thought that we would be able to order as much as we liked but this was not the case. We were only allowed to order one dish each and there was a grab and go breakfast bar where we could make our own drinks and grab something from the selection of foods. However, very disappointingly there was a very limited selection from the grab and go bench and even worse was that there were many flies flying around the food. Would have been better if they had put clear lids over the food. The food itself was very average too, not 5 star at all.
Only enjoyable experience was the botanical garden and the self-guided tour around the old mansion. The rest was pretty disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend this place. The management team should really consider doing some upgrades to the place and please offer better food and services for a 5 star hotel.

Certainly not 5 stars. Give them 3 stars and no more.
Morbid unhappy staff no service. Obviously comes from poor management.
No help with luggage just do it yourself instructions.
Dusty rooms. Where did they get 5 stars?
Should be reviewed again

5 Star gardens with a 2 - 3 star hotel. This hotel should not be displaying 5 stars! Don't get me wrong, the gardens are immaculate and worthy of 6 stars, but the accomodation, rooms and service are sub standard. The elevator to take you to the room floor looks like a service elevator, the rooms are dated and badly furnished, no bed head, blinds are falling apart, the electricity wall sockets short and can damage anything electrical you plug in, the safe didn't work, you ask to speak to management and no one contacts you back (remember, they classify and advertise themselves as a 5 star hotel). They charge 5 star rates for a 2- star stay! My suggestion is, go for the day and take a walk in the gardens, visit the zoo, even have lunch in the gardens, but then go stay at a proper 5 star hotel where you get better value for money!

The grounds surrounding the mansion were beautiful and is open to public. The Heritage room that we had was very small and much like an airport transit hotel room; a place to sleep and shower.

The bed was facing a big sliding bathroom door that would glow brightly when one went to the bathroom in the middle of the night. There was no power socket except in the bathroom. We had to charge the phone and boil the kettle in the toilet, which strangely had a metal sink.

We had no issues with noise but the beddings (pillows and blanket) were very worn out and sleep was uncomfortable. One of the bedside lights was not working either.

Gym and tennis courts were worn out.

Due to COVID, buffet breakfast was not available. Paid the same but only get one main selection + one drink (coffee from machine).

When we booked online, it stated no parking, but we were glad to find plenty of parking on-site.

Would not recommend and it's disappointing for a 5-star hotel. After all, you don't have to stay at the Mansion to enjoy the beautiful grounds. Lancemore Lindenderry was amazing and a better choice.
