Malvern Public Gardens reviews
27Great gardens with many exotic large trees, good paths and some open grassy areas. Public toilets are clean. Dog on leash. Well worth a visit. The fountain is on the site of a spring that was a water source for First Nations People.
Lovely to walk around, but not very big. A nice pond with ducks. No playground for kids, but there is a good circular path they can ride bikes around
Picturesque views for a peaceful walk in the busy part of town. Recharge your mind and soul.
Local park with a nice duck pond on the side. The loop around the garden is enough to have a good run around.
Great park, kid & dog friendly. The parking'sOK. We go here a lot our furry kids love it.
Having grown up a steet away in 1950s and attended park street and spring road schools a visit back to the comfortable malvern park where many child hood ventures took place i remember the kiosk and the lovelly garden beds of roses i believe six full-time gardeners were employed magnificent matching melbournes botanical gardens and the spring pond what fun we had in there fond memories
Great for relaxing, frisbees, picnics. Good toilets, water fountains, a pond and fountain, a mix of open and shaded areas, quite a few flower beds and seats, drinking fountains. Always prime territory for a powerful magpie family, so if you are scared of magpies, bring shredded cheese or cooked bacon bits, show them your face, to have them think you are a BFF. Lots of other birds. At night, possums and fruit bats.
Absolutely my favourite park.
It's quiet, beautiful and relaxing. Often I sit on the bench watching the colourful birds drinking water on the tiers of the fountain. Often see ducks swimming or walking on the ground near to me. Love the treas which give me shade and comfort on a hot day. It's great place for a short meditation. It's well looked after by City Council workers.
Only has two benches so you don't want to stay long to take away the pleasure from other people.
Love the park!
Beautiful gardens with lovely parklands, gardens and a great kids playground next door that’s safely fenced. Just wish they had toilets here!
Stunning park with so much pretty trees and clean public toilets. Very happy vibe and everyone takes care of their pooches business - amazing!
Really nice place. Beautiful pond area. Great spot to catch up with friends. Little busy as it's on a main road but take the dog and a picnic rug and enjoy.
Not a bad garden, it has a pond that has significance to the First Nation population. So there is a little bit of history
This is my most favourite park in this area so far. Good track for walking and jogging. Plenty of shades.
A quiet, local gem harking back to the grand Edwardian days of yore.
Stunningly old and majestic, with grand European evergreen and deciduous trees plotted about white pebbled meandering tracks, perfect for a brisk morning constitutional or for the more ambitious, a fun run.
Curious nooks and crannies to explore with a secret grotto that quietly guards the exquisitely designed and crafted Charles Robinette fountain, a must see for any visitor to Melbourne.
Over the last 130 years, one could only imagine the sheer volume of sweet nothings whispered mellifluously into the innocent ears of young lovers. Surely a place full of memory.
Ideal for weddings, receptions, 40th birthdays or just a fun family day in the sun.
BYO
Perfect picnic spot. Plenty of shade everywhere under big trees, plus public toilets and drinking fountain. 10/10 for cute dogs too!
Great place to walk, sit and meditate or simple read in the shade of one of the beautiful trees
A respite from city life. Not a huge green space but enough to enjoy a good walk or simply good weather
Enjoyable picnic. There were also no queues for the toilets on the Saturday I was there, which is nice
Beautiful trees & gardens with goodie of room, good access, parking & amenities right in the heart of Malvern. Great place to just relax & find some peace or for a noisy family picnic on a sunny day.
