Mallacoota's Shady Gully Caravan Park reviews
42 The park is run down & price reflect it I think. Amenities block is immaculate- fresh, clean as a whistle.
A little more attention to the long grass through the powered sites that require a good mow and whipper snip. Never seen a park so overgrown. Wasnt that busy that mowing couldnt have taken place.
The park is 2.5kms out of town and a pleasant walk either via the roadside or track through the bush the koalas walk through the park and birs song is beautiful very relaxing.
Its a lovely, quiet spot, far enough out of town.
In my opinion, this the best out of the caravan parks in Mallacoota.
The owners are wonderful and incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was relaxing.
The ablution blocks are very clean. They may be a bit older but the owners are in the process of doing them up.
It's a very short walk into town which is a bonus, you get the beauty of the surrounding bush with the ocean just a small distance away.
Would highly recommend.
Very well appointed campground with clean amenities, Nice cabins, campsites and communal kitchen. Friendly service. It's a long walk to Mallacoota shops.
A great quiet park complete with pool, laundry and really well kept tidy amenities just a short distance into town away from the heavy congested options. Relaxing, delightful stop.
Fantastic park, very clean and tidy, owners are extremely helpful and friendly.highly recommend
Great place for ramblers. The Mallacoota coastal track starts 500m down the road or you can cut through the Shady Gully track to get to the town then take the lakeside boardwalk north. We stayed in one of the gunyas which is as big as a small 2 bed apartment. Owners were really helpful.
Really didn't like our cabin at all. It's very old here and needs loads of updates. Cabin is not worth $115 a night. Won't be back
The owners are so accommodating with any requests for assistance or guidance on what to do and where to go. Love Bastion Point
We enjoyed our stay at Shady Gully. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed.
We stayed in our caravan.
The amenities we very clean, the owners are working very hard to make the park look good.
I would recommend to stay here lovely country park.
Great caravan park facilities are older but very well maintained very clean. The lovely Manager Chris could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The sites were easy to access and room to move
New owners are very welcome to all could not have done enough for their guests. Highly recommend to all travellers.
It was indeed unfortunate we didn't see anything but positive reviews if we had we would not have booked
Great little park, we had 2 cabins and 2 powered sites in a row for 4 family's. Lots of room for kids to play, lovely little pool to cool off in. Older park but neat and tidy.
Only stayed one night in the cabin so didn’t explore much but the cabin was sparkling clean and the bedding and towels were lovely and soft. Friendly people and very peaceful little park.
I'm on a circa 4000km road trip across the Eastern seaboard of the country via the coast, Mallacoota has been my first overnight stop inbetween Melbourne and Sydney.
Staff are friendly, check in was super easy, I was provided with a map of the main town and of the caravan park itself.
I had booked a cabin for an overnight stay, the cabins themselves are good, access is easy, the beds are on the firmer side which is great for someone with lower back pain issues like myself.
The cabins have private bathroom facilities, the shower is a touch on the small side but it's manageable, this is a sacrifice that has to be made with the room available.
It has an induction cooktop, microwave, fridge, beds are set up as a double bed then a row of bunk beds in the next room.
The cabins have modern reverse cycle split system units, maybe a touch undersized for the size of the cabins, but closing the curtains and giving it a bit of time I managed to turn the cabin into a ice box!
Prices are super cheap, if you have a lowered/modified car you might need to do some tactical driving on the cabin access road as it's a bit rough but 99% of people are going to have no dramas here.
Keep up the great work team, thanks for your hospitality!
Great hosts, stayed in a cabin for a few nights because of bad weather, cabins are warm and dry with appropriate heating and cooling, well priced with cooking utensils and stoves, the park is beautiful and out of town with plenty of space, will be making this my go to place when I visit Mallacoota
Great experience. Lovely owners. Clean amenities, pool, plenty of room on each caravan site. Have stayed there 3 times now, twice in cabins and now once in a caravan.
While the camp lots are spacious and the amenities are relatively well kept, the management needs to realise that as the number of campers increase over time, they have to open the additional toilets and showers. Come on. You don’t expect paying guests to form a long line just to use the toilet and showers! What about Covid safe management? Absolutely appalling.
Very clean and well appointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. A nice quite area to put your feet up and rest, also has an inground fenced swimming pool.
