Mallacoota RSL Bunker Museum reviews
11 The video presented had a women commentator who dismissed the well founded feelings of the locals.
WOKE commentary should not be encouraged 5 thumbs down.
This place is definitely worth a visit - thanks to all the volunteers that run this display it was excellent
A very interesting place that taught me a lot. Volunteer staff were lovely & helpful. They have efpos available so don't stress if you forget to get cash.
Fascinating place to honour Australian war effort. Maintained well and good video presentation. Worth an hour or so to visit.
Loved learning the history of WW2 surveillance and how the locals were involved. Very interesting displays. Friendly volunteers who related anecdotal tales of living in a remote area in more recent times.
Very interesting piece of Australian history, including history of the area, fantastic static displays, there is also a video presentation that runs for eighteen minutes.
We only spent one hour here because we arrived one hour before closing time. To have a better experience I think that you would need to spend two to three hours wandering around reading the information boards associated with each display.
Great spot, just outside town. I love learning about local history, and as I far as I know, this serves as a conduit for the local history of Mallacoota.
Much more than wartime history, and includes a variety of objects and plenty of context, for events as recent to the red skies 2019-20. Well worth a visit, give yourself a good hour to soak it in.
Learnt a few things about the defences and attacks on Australian shipping. Worth the visit.
What a great piece of history if your In the area and enjoy reading about days gone by this is must on the list of things to do.
Displays both WWII RAAF use of the bunker and some interesting local history. Certainly worth a visit with only $5 admission.
Was also open on a Sunday afternoon, so check locally on opening times.
