Malaysian Kitchen reviews
41 Foods are nice, big portion good for sharing. Didn’t get to order their famous fish head noodle that are not selling on weekend dinner session.
Indoor is very noisy, probably because they shut the windows to keep inside warm.
Tasty meals - I recommend the rendang laksa! Interesting fitout. Try to reserve the outdoor bubble.
My husband said that he had previously enjoyed the Char Kway Teow here so I was interested to try this restaurant. We didn't have a booking so I asked for a table for 3. I was told to go to the front of the restaurant by the dour staff member at the reception so we did. We found an empty table and looked around to confirm if it was ok to sit at it and another staff member rudely told us we had to wait. Then the manager (?) and the rudest of the 3 staff we interacted with asked us again if we had a booking and when I said no, said then they had no table for us in a rude, almost aggressive tone. I don't like giving bad reviews but I will never patronise this restaurant again on the basis of this unecessary unpleasantness. We would have been completely fine with a polite explanation.
4 stars because of the service. While the rest of the staff was quiet prompt, the guy at the front who seemed like the manager was quiet unwelcoming. And seem to be uninterested in customers coming in.
Other then that food was quick and quiet tasty. But was somewhat bland.
We would return again just to see what other dishes tasted like and the price was relatively cheap.
So have a try its worth it once
Quick service and generous servings. Bah ku teh and barramundi (with taramind) were delicious
This was an interesting ambience - dining in the “igloo” or “gazebo”…. Loved this privacy and good service- favourite dishes- not to be miss our!
We had a Christmas family gathering and everything came as planned. The restaurant was very accommodating to our requests. It is BYO n we were allowed to bring cake. Very cost effective in today's prices. Thank you to hard working staff at Kitchen Malaysian.
All 4 at the table got the original鱼头米粉 (fish head noodle soup) and it was my first time here! So good, the broth is creamy and peppery and the fish cooked perfectly. Also had hot teh tarik and it tastes just like home? Highly recommended by everyone I know and now I can recommend this place to others too. Quick & friendly service, fair prices and big portions of fantastic food.
Love the Laksa Jumbo. The brooth is so good. Ordered pot noodle taste good but portion is small.
Went for lunch specials during the week. Had the yong tau fu laksa. Was average. Husband had the sa hor fan which I felt needed more egg. Quite a few tables were having the fish head vermicelli noodles which seems quite big portion for the price. Will hv to try that next visit.
Enjoyed the food. Sorry, we dug in before has a chance to take photos! Very delicious. Seems place is famous for Laksa!
Stale fish head curry that was tough to chew (a first for us). Sub standard belacan sauce (with wayy to much sugar in it making it sweet) mixed with kang kung. Certainly not coming back again.
We had a whole barramundi, which was quite expensive and not very fresh as it was a bit fishy, the other dish was Guiness pork, it was too tender and I could feel too much baking soda put in, waiting for food for quite a long time.
I have been to this restaraunt several times and the food has been great every time. Great friendly atmosphere.
Came here for my friend son's birthday party for lunch. Very spacious and great for larger group size.
The food was tasty and the setting was great. Highly recommend the Barramundi with ginger sauce and vegetable dish.
We have been coming here for a few years consistently as regular customers. The food is decent however the service is absolutely atrocious and has been for some time now. We have overlooked it however tonight we stood at the front for a table for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from staff, however it was busy (not crazy busy) as tables were empty. After we asked for a table we were not even told with words that there was none available only a hand gesture to indicate no. If you are aware it is fully booked perhaps tell people before they wait there for no reason, and then at a minimum communicate it with words.
Food came quickly. Nicely flavoured without being overly salty.
Interesting premise to hang out at.
Very nice local place, food is pretty good, especially the noodles and the duck, always gets busy so good to book a table
Very beautiful restaurant, food was OK, lots of msg. Didn't taste authentic enough for me. The fish head curry was disappointing, all bones. Coffee pork chop just tasted sweet, black pepper lamb was not peppery enough. Not too crowded, which was good. Can be hard to miss from the road. Our dishes came out one by one, with a slight wait in between. Customer service left much to be desired.
