Main Ridge Estate

We went first time yesterday. Libby and James look aftered so well. James took time to explain about their wine, quality and business. Wine was beautiful. We bought few bottles to gift it to friends. We been given good options as a vegetarian. Overall very well spend time and highly recommend it.

I booked this family run winery as it was dog friendly, and the first time we would be visiting with our pup. We arrived half an hour late after an episode of thinking he was missing (sleeping under a jacket in the back of the car) - we were greeted by the friendly hostess, who then changed our table so we were in the best sunlight. We had a wonderful set menu and a great Pinot (good tannins) that was well recommended by the sommelier. It has a gorgeous view and an unpretentious warm character. We tried to tip and they had no tipping facilities! I will recommend to all my family and friends - and will be back. Thank you to the kind staff you made our weekend.

Such a beautiful winery - the food was beautifully presented and were all so delicious! Service was super attentive and warm, a very nice experience. Set lunch menu was of such good value, one of my favourite winery in this region. Will definitely come back again!

It started off with a lovely afternoon. I was greeted warmly by Justin and I sat by myself minding my own business, looking forward to the meals and the experience. Along came the lady with the medium length hair. I think she may be one of the owners.

Oh boy is she a delight! She asked if Justin looked after me. I said he was. Now mind you, if only she left me alone, everything would have been fine. She asked me what I wanted to eat. Then she started to berate me by screeching for the whole restaurant to hear that I possibly can't eat for two. The couple next to me had their mouths open in horror.

First of all, I had no idea what the portion sizes were. Secondly, who is she to dictate how much one should eat? She then started to say that she will make the restaurant pare it back a bit. I advised her that I didn’t have lunch or dinner the night before and that I could eat. Then she said to not worry and that I'll be fed. To say that I was shocked and embarrassed is an understatement.

I feel that you may have robbed me of my money's worth but the $160 you took from me for such tiny food because the lady didn’t think I deserved to eat my fair share is fine. You may need it more than me for the cheap behaviour that your employee has shown. I remained a lady and kept minding my own business. I don't stoop to uncultured behaviour.

Yes, I eat a lot and I am blessed to maintain a lovely figure.
I do not wish for her to get into trouble but kindly do your business a favour and watch what you say to your customers.

Absolutely perfect. I could not recommend this winery enough. I went with my girlfriend, im vegan, she is not. They staff were sooo accommodating in changing some of the meals to accommodate my dietary requirements. They were so kind and understanding and even with the changes the food was incredible. Both myself and girlfriend were thrilled with the food.
The price is excellent for what you get, and the views are incredible. They even had blankets for people that were cold.
Book a table! You will not be disappointed!

A very enjoyable visit for a glass or three of the brilliant Chardonnay accompanied by a very generous and moorish cheese platter. Next visit will be for a long lunch on the terrace. Thank you Tim, Libby, James and Linda, your hospitality is second to none.

It is in an ideal location with great view of vines. Wine quality is of exceptional but it is very pricey to buy a bottle - $60 entry point. You can get a glass for $15 each. Recommend getting a bite to eat and enjoy a bottle on the verandah on a sunny day.

The venue is visually stunning but we had a really disappointing experience and received bad service. Came with a group of 6, we were seated outside in the courtyard which had limited shading and we were seated directly in the sun. Staff said they didn’t have enough umbrellas. It was unbearably hot.
Further, staff were generally rude and made us feel uncomfortable the whole time. Any request we had received a rude response and made us feel unwelcome. There is also limited food available, only cheese boards but only like 10 biscuits provided for 6 cheeses.save your time and head to another winery in the area like Montalto or Polperro!

Me and my fiancé visited Main Ridge Estate to celebrate our engagement and we couldn’t have had a better experience. The staff was amazing and really made our experience unforgettable. The wine and the food were delicious, and the view from the deck beautiful! We look forward to visiting Main Ridge Estate again in the near future!

An amazing experience. The staff were absolutely lovely and so accommodating. Wine tasting and provided explanations were brilliant and knowledgeable. Wonderful visit, would recommend and will return.

We had a really nice time here, great food and wine. Off the beaten track and hidden away amoungst trees all around. Great views and atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Also dog friendly. We'll be going back.

Lovely small winery run by a family. They are super welcoming and make great wines. You can have a beautiful lunch on the terrace overlooking the vineyard with only the sound of the birds in the background. A must visit!

Wow. What a beautiful experience we had at Main Ridge Estate. I cannot speak more highly of the amazing team - Libby, Tim, James, Tanya and Archie (the cutest resident dog!). The wine was superb, food was delicious and we sat out on the deck over looking the vineyards. I would say easily best winery on the Peninsula. I felt so relaxed and enjoyed my time! Definitely coming back again!

By far the best place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and delicious foods on the peninsula! The staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming. Highly reccomend having lunch out on the deck overlooking the vineyard.

Lovely hidden away cellar door and restaurant with great food and wines to match, a great setting and very friendly service - a family run operation.

We had such a fantastic visit and had a nice chat with one of the owners. It was a total delight and the wine is outstanding.

Not sure what the person is smoking saying the staff were rude! The staff were soo accommodating. We walked in with a group of 9 and they fit us in for a tasting straight away. And the wine was just fine!
