This is my go to for fresh oysters, in Knox as well as Glen. They're freshly shucked and reasonably priced. The sushi is good too. I do wish though that they'd clean their tables regularly, as they are always sticky and messy, and I have to always wipe them down myself. Also if you're buying oysters, make sure you point out the particular pack you want, as a few times now they gave us the half dozen or dozen with the undersized or dodgy oyster in the pack. On the plus side, they now provide yummy dressings to go with the oysters. In the past I was happy with just the lemon and tabasco, but now we also get dressings like red wine vinegar and onion, Thai garlic and chilli, Japanese ponzu, and more. A real bonus!
Mediocre hand rolls. Stingy on ingredients and end of day sales are a rip off. The one time I tried their oysters, they tasted odd and were extremely salty for some unknown reason. Also please switch to paper boxes. Too much plastic use.
I have tried this place three times now. Oyster where fresh fresh fresh and yummy. Sushi packs where perfect to offer guests as starters
Side note, the smaller oysters often have a better flavour

Always been a fan of Maguro Bar for the quality, variety and value of their sushi and oysters. So glad one has opened so close to me so I can grab a quick lunch!
EXTREMELY fresh sushi (at least seems that way). I've had sushi many many times but none have tasted like this. You can really tell the difference when the meat is more fresh. Helps that it double serves as a mini seafood butcher too.
Incredibly fresh sushi at reasonable prices, with very nice presentation. I used to go to the Glen Waverley branch and was so happy to see they have now opened at Knox. Service has been great at Knox with a very knowledgeable oyster 'barista' who can recommend oysters based on the types of flavours you like.
Staff were so so lovely, knowledgeable and attentive. Food was EXCEPTIONAL. Oysters super fresh and sushi delicious.
