Madeline's at Jells reviews
30The location of the cafe in jells park is beautiful, we ordered iced coffees and iced chocolates on a really hot day. The staff were friendly and the service was quick but the iced chocolates/coffees weren’t that cold and didn’t get served with any ice, only a dollop of ice cream. Nevertheless, it’s nice to have a cafe at a park and sip on a drink as you’re walking. Thank you for the experience!
Today my kids and I ordered 3 drinks (milkshake, a smoothie and a bottle of juice) and 2 muffins.with the 10% surcharge this snack came to $44.80.
It was nice and the man at the takeaway counter was friendly. But nearly $50 for a simple takeaway morning tea is not something I can justify.
Wonderful food, lovely atmosphere and staff are very nice but just a little forgetful with basics. I would 100% come back here though. Perfect place for a family morning out. Beautiful sceneries.
Cafe Drinks not hot enough though and when we asked for a reheat, they sent it remade with soy milk instead of just a quick 15 seconds reheat. So a bit disappointed in the coffees.
Today I had a fruit bread with peanut butter and vegemite! It's the best I've ever eaten in my life! Amazing, Thanks so much
Terrible service, cannot cope with more than one food order at a time. I was asked to wait 30 minutes until I can make an order. I returned 30 minutes later to be told I have to wait a further 30 minutes to make my order. It’s unbelievable when there is only one person who has ordered in front of me. I would not recommend coming to this cafe when visiting the lovely Jells Park
We had a lovely family lunch at Madeline’s. I ordered the Big Brekky Board which was huge and could easily be shared between two, but I was hungry. The other meals were a salad and pulled pork roll, both were very tasty. The service was good, friendly staff. The food was a little slow, but not too bad. Highly recommend.
Great menu, including takeaway. Really friendly service. Prices a bit steep, but worth it. Big portion sizes.
My friends and I had a lovely time here. The coffees and drinks here are really nice. I love that we can look out to the beautiful nature while having a bite/drink. The staff here are so kind and accommodative as well. I highly recommend!)
Generous serving for toasties, sauces, creams, utensils, tissues etc.for takeaway. Speedy with the drinks and not too long for the food either.
Business run very badly, slow service, bad service, rude staff. If there was another cafe nearby I would have no hesitation to eat elsewhere.
Fabulous lunch, 14 of us for my daughters birthday food great, and wonderful service from the manager and our waitress Caitlin, Thank you.
Went for father's day out with the family and pet accommodates pets outside food very average walking around jells Park is great.
Even short staffed the team do everything they can to make sure you have a nice time. Food is always on point, coffee delicious and view and cafe is lovely!
A lovely spot to grab lunch at beautiful Jells Park, the restaurant has tasty, healthy food options and service is friendly, prompt and courteous. The missing star relates to the kiosk for which you'll need to wait 15-20 minutes for any purchase on the weekends, huge line every time. It speaks to the success of the kiosk but it would make sense to put in some strategies to minimise wait time, e.g. Separate icecream or coffee station, also would be good to increase the font size of the kiosk menu you can only read it when it's nearly your turn, would give people something to do while in line if it was legible.
Great Cafe, always end up getting wedges and hot jam dounuts after a big ride. Coffee is good as well. Friendly staff
If you are a nature lover, then this is the place for you. This place not only serves delicious food but also beautiful views of Jells park, Lake and quick glimpse of Dandenong ranges. Bakery items are fresh and awesome. I recommend to book the table beforehand to avoid disappointment. It's extremely busy during weekends.
Normally a good place with a good view. Nice coffee. Avoid going when crowded as staff feels overwhelmed and can be a bit rude.
The staff are really under the pump today (Sunday 3rd Jul) with people stealing other people's orders, queue skipping and lot's of complaining and demanding customers. They have remained courteous, helpful and unbelievably hard working. The food looks worth the wait and peop le should realise that this cafe struggling with staffing is doing a great job!
Absolutely bs place. All it takes to wake them up is to add few more pop up fnb there. They will start selling food even when down to two chefs
The place was being slammed today, with an endless line of takeaway customers being served by the small but dedicated team. My family was well looked after, and the food was spectacular when it arrived - the chicken burger was a monster, the calamari superbly cooked, and the kids meals quite ample. Despite the challenges they faced, the staff were always approachable and tried their absolute best.
