MADEC reviews
7Brought us all the way down to Shepparton and promised us the world and promised to find us farm work, rang Brooke daily and she always said that she would get us jobs and never got back to us, so unprofessional and unfair considering we had arranged a date to come down and start our farm work! Dont care about backpackers and not accomodating atall, weeks without work or phone calls and just dont care atall dont bother wasting your time trying to get farm work because they fill you with hope and nothing happens!
I pacifically said jobs going in Tatura or mooroopna and they say there is a job going in Shepparton, I didn’t ask for jobs in Shepparton and I asked for supermarket or clothing stores and they ring me with a job that is in hospitality, that’s not what I asked, if you ring me with one job vacancy don’t cause you’d be wasting my time, ring me with more than just one
Been waiting 8 weeks for payment for harvest work. No one willing to assist and offer a time frame. All they have been saying is it’s pending
Pretty surprised about how friendly and helpful the staff were unlike the other MADEC offices. Although the job they gave us turned out to be pretty dodgy (you wouldn't expect that from a place like this, you would expect the jobs thru MADEC would be legit. Make sure everyone ask about the money before begin the work). Anyhow we found the job ourselves so. I'm pretty sure we were just unlucky about that dodgy job.
If you see this, please post the ads with the wage/ hourly rates in it. So no one wastes their time anymore. (Apparently this cherry farm owner- the dodgy looking one- had a lot of workers just walked off or ran off. I know not everyone is reliable workers but this guy seems off)
Anyway if you're looking for harvest jobs, make sure you're getting at least minimum hourly rate.
Wanting me to fill out paperwork and I have enough trouble reading it was a joke
Walked in, answered some questions, could start working an hour later! Picking pear!
