Maddens Rise

Having chosen to visit the cellar door somewhat at random, we were delighted to find a small and very welcome place.
I particularly enjoyed the unusual (for the region) varietals and the delicious blends. Arcobaleno was a joy and the Cinq Amis was so smooth.
I dearly hope we have the chance to return for more. Highly recommend a visit!

Went to this winery as our last stop after visiting others in the area. It lived up to the 5 star review. It was a cold, wet day so we were the only visitors in the shed and Emma & her friends were great hosts.
Cannot recommend this spot more, will definitely return on our next trip.

Maddens Rise is a beautiful, family run winery with delicious wines with a gorgeous, humble cellar door.
We left with a nice selection of wines and will certainly be coming back soon and bringing friends.

Really enjoyed this winery, didn’t love the wine if I’m honest, but that’s about taste preference more than anything else, they certainly weren’t “bad” wines.

The lady who hosted was lovely and the little tasting room was enjoyable. 5 stars here.

Such a beautifully designed, warm and inviting cellar door to visit and enjoy a wine tasting. Exceptional wines were presented and we enjoyed every single one. Emma was very knowledgeable and super friendly and took her time to share the stories about the wines they produce. Beautiful views were a bonus. This visit was the highlight of our day.

The most absolutely divine experience! The wines were exceptional, the pink fizz and rosso being our crowd favourite. We were welcomed by the most gorgeous and generous host (tragically I did not catch her name). The cellar door space was lit by the warmest sunlight and greeted by daffodil heads! Farm/vinyard straight to a cozy tasting space. I would recommend this highly and cannot wait to have these wine bottles decorating our wedding tables! Thank you Maddens Rise! - Eve and Hine

A beautiful small cellar door with lovely wines. Excellent host, who took the time to share the story behind each wines.
All whilst keeping warm next to the wood fire.

Simply outstanding and wonderful service and personality from the sparkling diamond Emma who is a delight and made the wine and our time here so memorable - what was just a side trip to our day became the absolute highlight. Definately back for more. We enjoyed their sparkling rose very much as well.

Fantastic wine, we bought them all! The space has been carefully curated and Emma was such a wonderful host, it was great chatting with her.

On a cold and grey morning, we walked into a warm inviting space, with Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue playing softly in the background. That’s worth the 5 stars right there. The host was friendly and professional, taking her time talking about the wines and the property. We loved all the wines on the tasting flight, especially the Chard and the Rosso blend.

So glad we stopped by. The room was filled with daffodils, the fire was warm and the service really friendly. Tasting was great and got two bottles of Pinot to take home.

Great spot for a glass of wine or a tasting. Emma is lovely and always so welcoming, and also a bonus it’s dog friendly. Would highly recommend visiting

So welcoming & so accomodating. True hospitality, great wine & beautiful setting. A must go if you’re in the Yarra Valley.

Wonderful little boutique cellar door. Can’t believe I only just tried it for the first time now! Staff were lovely, and hilarious. Venue was tiny but stylish. Great views over the vines and a handsome heritage wool shed. Walked away with two bottles of Chardonnay but will probably be back for more soon!

It was such a beautiful and personal experience here with our wine tasting host, Emma.

She was very hospitable and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly as she explained the art and detail behind each bottle of wine served.

We also left with two bottles which were our favorites, the Arcobaleno and Cinqamis:)

We were so lucky to change upon Maddens Rise! Would 11/10 recommend for a visit!
