Madame k's vegetarian City reviews
25I’m not vegan and I’ve always avoid this style of restaurants purely due to them always so flavourless BUT this place changed my perspective! I took a group of my mates here without them knowing it was vegan and honestly, it was the tastiest experience! It’s packed with flavour and yes, although it’s counterfeit meat, the meal was delicious and wholesome and the service is great!
What a lovely little vegetarian place! Bought my mum here for a quick dinner before a show and we really enjoyed our meal! The Vegan prawns were exceptionally good (almost better than the real thing!) The stir fried vegetables were simple and yum and the Lasksa was rich and creamy. We enjoyed our meal very very much and the service was cheerful and friendly. Heads up there is no toilet, so go before you come!
Quick and friendly service, amazing selection of vegan dishes. I got the BBQ chicken which was delicious! Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying out more of the menu.
We had dinner with friends at this place. It's not very large with just a few tables, but the food is delicious with just the right amount of spiciness. Most items are served with rice.
I'm fan of their soups and chive dumplings. Service is so fast as qell, and place looks cute & cozy. Staff is so friendly and food is always fresh. I've been here multiple times and they always provide excellent customer service and delicious food.
A must try, if you are vegen or vegetarian.
A quiet find with fresh vegan and vegetarian food that is sure to leave you full and satisfied. Went here on a Tuesday week night and loved the speedy service, great taste without feeling bloated.
Will have to come back with a larger group to try all the other varieties on the menu.
Laksa is fantastic, eggplant and mock duck rolls are quite good. Great value and number of options. Suggestions: custom spiciness level or offer chili paste as a side, increase prices of some items to allow for greater portions and/or more protein, and more consistency of same items on different days.
Quick and very friendly service. The food was amazing. I had vegan Thai iced tea and it was super delicious! All dishes are quite humbly priced.
We went to Melbourne during the Christmas holidays and this was the nearest vegan restaurant to our hotel. The food is amazing - everything is vegan but everything we tried so far were delicious. The price is pretty good as well, which are quite cheaper than the vegan restaurants we usually eat at in Sydney. We loved it so much we ate in this restaurant every day of our stay.
Had an awesome lunch here. The laksa was beautiful! I am not vegetarian, but that laksa was better than most of the meat ones I have had! The massaman curry and the spicy mushroom salad was really great too. We will definitely be returning!
The food here is delicious and well worth a visit (I had the laksa)! The owner does an amazing job of managing the cooking and serving. If you enjoy thai food (there's also other foods from asia like nasi goreng), please go there and support a local business.
Got the laksa and it was absolutely delicious. A bit messy for take away but perfect regardless! Super friendly service too!
The blandest food I’ve tasted in a long time. The food is mostly plain rice, very tiny portions of tofu, a little vegetables. Minimal oil, sauces, herbs, or spices. I initially thought it was cheap, but for the ingredients and finesse it is actually overpriced. It’s a place of white rice with vegetables and a little sauce.
If you are on a low calorie diet this place would be heaven.
Lady running it was friendly but she had no other staff. She was cooking, order taking, cleaning, and doing payments.
It took 30 minutes to receive our dine in orders. It would have been fine is the food was good, but I’ve had better tasting and more authentic Thai food on an airline.
Best Thai vegan food next door. We had padthai, tomyum, chicken skewed. They are all fresh and feels like homemade. Make sure you try her banana tempura. It's awesome. Especially the coconut icecream. I can taste the coconut meat in it. All finished before can take photos. The one in the picture is sticky rice, which is also nice.
Wonderful service. So happy to have tried out their vegan red curry! Will be coming back to try the rest of the menu.
Best green carry in Melbourne, so delicious! Good food, Highly recommend to give it a try!
A new favourite vegan place in Melbourne! Prices are such good value for what you get ($13.50 for a large meal with rice) and service is quick and the waitress was super lovely. The curries are delicious and really fill you up. Coming back for sure to try the rest of the menu.
Vegan Padang Curry was seriously delicious!
Can’t wait to come back and try everything else!
Shame about the opening hours - would love to come here for dinner
Delicious all vegan menu, with a fantastic selection of Thai dishes. Highly recommend trying their fake meat dishes as they are amazing.
Surprising little vegan gem in the heart of Melbourne. The Laksa was one of the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend it. It's unfortunate how the business got affected by COVID.
