This place definitely deserves to be a lot more popular. Their food is excellent and they have great options for people who prefer gluten free and onion/garlic options.

I would highly recommend the Pad See Ew or the Red Curry with Mock Duck. The Thai Milk Tea is absolutely delicious and vegan.

The service definitely feels a bit sleepy, which unfortunately is common when places are so quiet. I hope this place gets enough attention one day to knock the service up a notch.

So very disappointed in our Saturday night Restaurant choice! We've ordered takeaway here before and had horrible service (they forgot our rice and when we called to let them know, I was told to make my own) but I thought we would give it another try!

We walked in to a dirty and boring atmosphere. We could tell right away the waitress was exhausted, running off her feet and given no support. She was nice so no blame on her. The menu had meals 'unavailable' and the food was bland and very small in portion. We weren't given cutlery and my partner had to get up and get his own.

There were also tiny fruit flies flying around everywhere! Into our face and meal. Tables around us were left dirty the entire time we were there and customers turned away even though there were empty tables.

This place used to be so well received - What a shame!

We ordered from here tonight and the food was absolutely amazing, really appreciate the recommendations!

The food was amazing, I can't stop thinking about the prawns! We will return when in Fitzroy next.
We were so impressed with the young waitress, she was on her own on a Saturday night and managed to take orders, serve food and drinks. We felt sorry for her as she worked so hard but did it was ease. You are very lucky to have an employee like this.

Very mediocre food and service was not good. One person at our table had their food served cold. No apologies given. Seemed like an imposition to ask for the food to be heated. No one checked on our table to ask if anything further was needed. Too many excellent vegan restaurants in the area with amazing food and stellar service to waste your time at this one but, give it a go. Hopefully your experience will be better!

Yes, it's vegetarian but so lacklustre and uncreative. The table was sticky, the water glasses grubby. The place, and the food felt unloved

The portions are for babies.
I ordered a chickpea curry, the curry had 2 chickpeas like literally 2 and 3 pieces of broccoli.
We were 2 people, we paid 70$ and we were not even half full.

This is a huge statement but I might have found one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Melbourne!

Everything here from the ambience, interior, service and the food were 10/10

The first thing we had was the milk tea and as soon as we took the first sip, we looked at each other with so much amazement and excitement and this was just the beginning to this incredible feast!

Doesn’t matter if you’re vegetarian or not, if you are in Melbourne, I would highly recommend you guys to check out @madamek_vegetarian and enjoy an incredible feast

Such a lovely vegetarian/vegan restaurant with so many delicious options! Wonderful friendly staff and so reasonably priced?

After reading good reviews my sister and I bought two main dishes as a takeaway to take home to add to our own home cooked rice. It wasn't until we arrived home and opened the bag that we discovered that both rectangular containers were were two thirds filled with rice, with only one third of the the dish we had ordered. We rechecked the menu we had taken home but there was absolutely nothing that stated that the dishes contained a serve of rice. The only mention of rice was under a separate heading of "side dishes" as they were ordered as an extra. What we ate was fairly tasty but we were terribly disappointed at the small quantity of the actual dish we ordered in the container.

Lovely place with lovely food. Very nice owner and the menu was very good. Would absolutely recommend for someone who doesn’t like vegetarian restaurants because of their vegetarian meat-like items.

We tried 8 dishes from Madam K and each dish was deliciously unique in flavour. Food was so fresh and yummy. We will be back for sure. The lady serving us was so patient, calm and helpful. Thank you!

This has to be the best Authentic Thai vegan vegetarian restaurant in Melbourne, food was so good and the service was amazing!

Their red ‘duck’ curry and crispy prawn were blown my mind! Both were super delicious, authentic Thai red curry with delicious rich coconut curry broth and the crispy ‘prawn’ was actually taste better than the real prawn unbelievable! Overall everything we ordered was tasty, the portion size is bit small so if you have big appetite don’t forget to order the steamed jasmine rice too

Highly recommend the red curry, crispy prawn, pad thai and tomyum soup.

Waitress is not very helpful. When I found something in a spoon and asked her to change a new one, she is not happy. When my friend asked the more sauce for entre, she said she would charge for it. My friend is very slow eater so I stayed the restaurant longer than normal but there are always spare tables for coming customers. The waitress has kept asking my friend if she finished the dish or not. When some time was gone, she came and asked that table was booked for other customer even there are more than 2tables left in restaurant.
The food is just ok not very good level.

I should have trusted my gut when we sat down. It was quiet, only another couple was there dining on a Saturday night. There were no noise coming from a kitchen - no one talking or cooking. The food seemed like it was batch cooked and reheated. We ordered a good mix of dishes to share… tom yum soup, pad thai, laksa and red curry, pork stir fry etc.and they were most too sweet. The best was the lotus chips, peanut sauce and the jasmine rice. Pretty disappointing restaurant considering it had so many wonderful reviews.

Very average food, and poor service levels. Unfortunately won't come back. Had higher expectations given the review ratings.

The staff was soo friendly to us. We called beforehand because we had to come in last minute, and they waited for us, prepared our food and closed after. The soup was really special and the curry tasted great. The rice was cooked on point. Heaps of vegan options available. Overall highly recommended!

The best vegan place out of many I’ve tried so far in melb. Their duck pancake is beyond AMAZING. I wouldn’t have been able to tell that they’re mock meat without getting told (I’m a meat eater) the prawn salad was also really good the Konjac prawns were just too good. The salad that went with it was quite raw without too much dressing but still I loved. The warm pandan coconut dessert was really good too I’ll definitely be returning very soon.
