Macpac Doncaster reviews
18Customer service at this store was amazing. Eilish helped me within seconds of walking in, and went above and beyond than was required
Need more customers training, be more attentive and not annoyed when people asking questions
Was served by Chris on 9/7/23. Chris was a great help and provided exceptional product knowledge. It was a really pleasant experience. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you Chris
Chris was a Legend. He spent 45 minutes with me helping me try a multitude of backpacks with weights and help me adjust to my size. Very knowledgeable with optimal adjustments and incredibly nice.
Love the gear, the quality of products and the staff are also friendly without the pushy sales vibe. The range is just enough for those who love adventuring outdoors and want good quality and long lasting, non-dressy causal wear.
I am so shocked to receive such poor customer service from a staff working in a reputable shop like Macpac in Australia. Although I understand that the financial year end sales is currently running right now, I don’t think any customer deserves to be treated so badly. I am very disappointed with the service by the staff (from my receipt indicated as Casey) at MacPac Doncaster. I was asking the staff why the halo hooded jacket was so wrinkled and she literally ‘rolled her eyes’ saying that the wrinkle will fade after wearing the jacket for a while. Then she asked if I am a member and when I said no, she didn’t even bother asking if I want to join as a member, and when I asked her how to join she simply brushed off by saying that items on sales will not be getting any discount. Although she mentioned that member will get 20% discount on full price items and they will store the sales history in the account.
Great outdoor gear a little on the expensive side however they have really great sales so if can wait you'll get it at a cheaper price
The product is great, small range, took 5 weeks to get a transfer in and only after I went back to find out where it was. They did the work so I wanted to buy it there otherwise I could have ordered everything online.
Trying to support the local shops.
Hope this was just a hiccup as the staff and friendly and helpful, you do need to improve your orders and transfer process though, it took over 15 minutes of back and forth to find it.
My first time shopping at Mac PAC and Stuart was very helpful and knowledgeable about the quality and prices over a range of different duck down jackets. I highly recommend this store.
Friendly and helpful staff
well organised store most sizes in stock.love shopping at this store.
Thanks to Jade and Stewart for their help with resolving an issue we had. Very much appreciated.
The reason this store got one-star because employees did not even greet to different enthic people but to blonde ones.
The Worst ever.
Big thank you to Jade & colleague (Michael I think?) For helping me with a halo jacket purchase. Jade went above and beyond with her service - definitely recommend this location. Have purchased before and happy with quality
My advice is to become a member of their club to get some really good discounts off their normal prices.
Mostly this is an outdoorsy apparel type of store. They are directly across from a Kathmandu and are keen to compete on price. Mostly they stock lifestyle type gear (jackets, water bottles, fit gear etc). As far as an outfitter goes, worth a look.
Absolute worst customer service I've seen. There are three people working, one with a broken arm and not a single person has approached any customers to offer help on a day where half the store is filled up with customers looking at black Friday sales. One who seems to be the oldest here, rather than approaching customers decides to keep herself busy by unpacking boxes of stuff instead. Were looking to buy stuff for our EBC trek and lack of customer service her gives them a miss of potentially couple of thousand dollars in gear. I've have the opposite experience from Kathmandu.
I would be looking at replacing store owner/manager if I was Macpac.
Added edit: I was asked if everything was ok after I completed my fitting. Too late.
Great customer service! Staff were very friendly even near closing time and gave us great advice.
