Seafood freshness was great, batter needs a little work, dimmys were still cold in the middle, obviously frozen then dumped in the deepy. Happened on multiple times. I posted on their Facebook page but the owner cannot handle friendly criticism and deletes any comment that are not 5+

Stopped here on a Monday arvo after being out riding all day - nothing else in Lancefield or Romsey was open. Had no expectations in this restaurant but this was possibly the best fish and chips I have ever had. Would easily rival the quality and taste of a waterfront fish and chippery in places like Williamstown or Port Melbourne. Very reasonably priced - $23 for battered fish, 2 huge dim sims, chips and a drink. Owner was super friendly and knowledgeable. Would travel out from metro to come here again!

Have Brough fish from Andrew a few times and he is fantastic and his fish is always 10/10

My husband and I went in last night and we received the most amazing customer service! The food was delicious, fresh and crispy!

My brother and I went here for lunch yesterday and the food was fantastic! Andrew and Tracy were very friendly and welcoming, had lots of knowledge, and had fresh fish from the Melbourne market. The squid rings were the best we have ever eaten! And the pulled pork burger was excellent. We 100% will come back here again. Thankyou very much!

On Saturday I visited family in Lancefield. My Daughter in Law needed to go to the supermarket in Romsey so I went too to keep her company. When we got out of the car the first thing we could smell was fish and chips. Immediately we became hungry. We went to check out if they were gluten free. BINGO.we spoke to the owner who was outside and assured him we would be back. He helped immensely with helping us to decide what to order.he thought we'd ordered too much. Everything was delicious but the stand out were the squid rings. OMG, so soft and tender and cooked to perfection. There was only minimal chips and a small piece of fish left over. I live about 30 kilometres away, but, this has now become my go to fish and chip shop. Amazingly delicious food and well above average service.

To the owner.the il diavolo Salami was like lollies to my Son, he didn't even break out in a sweat. His comment was.that's not hot.

Love this place.the service is so friendly and welcoming. Andrew came over with some grilled squid for my 3 year old to try for the first time and he actually managed to get him to try it.chips are always so fresh and crispy.love this place and a welcome addition to romsey.my little man loved the experience today.

Big shout out to Andrew and the team for making our family a couple of custom order burgers tonight they were absolutely beautiful, considering the request was stuff outside of the normal menu short staffed and a busy Friday night we really appreciate the service! Absolutely outstanding!

Last night we walked into our local fishmonger and Lucy asked for "breaded fish" as her fish n' chips, instead of traditional battered and before we knew it, owner/chef Andrew whipped into the IGA next door to get eggs and cooked up the most delicious panko-crumbed fish with superb chips on the side!

What amazing customer service and without a doubt the best fish n' chips in the Macedon Ranges, if not Victoria!

Friendly and professional service without a trace of pretension. Flathead and chips were perfectly fried, generous portions, fresh and delicious. And coffee Joneses won't be disappointed - consistent and spot on!

Awesome fresh local seafood with fabulous customer service. Our daughter made seafood marinara with their seafood today - omg, it was amazing! We used gluten free gnocchi and it was the best marinara I have had!
