Macca's Farm reviews
48Good fun during strawberry season to pick your own then enjoy the cafe. The ducks and pigs are very cute too. Fridges full of free range organic meat at reasonable prices. They also have rescued bee hives and honey and fresh Veggies too.
Macca’s farm is a beautiful rural experience, it has delicious food, great customer service and the healthiest pigs you’ll see. I find the place very refreshing and absolutely delightful. The way in which the food you eat comes from the same place the farm to table way. The owner of the farm is also completely involved in every aspect of it, from the farm to the cafe to greeting the people and cooking the meals, it has a rustic rural feel with all the farm equipment on show, the vegetables and meat from the shop come from the farm that surrounds this place, the pork and beef that is eaten and sold here is from the animals that are reared and cared for by the owner, it is always a pleasure to see Macca at work and to learn about what is new at the farm and to see the piglets when he has them, I would suggest that everyone visit this place and see for yourselves that caring and environmentally friendly farmers do exist.
Till next time, see ya Macca love your work.
Delicious fresh strawberries to pick yourself, a wide variety of fresh vegetables and meats and some adorable pigs to watch as you sit outside and enjoy your products.
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! After buying 2 vacuum sealed lamb loin chop packs THAT TURNED OUT TO BE OFF! I tried to get in contact with them via email and messenger with no response then only to find that they had BLOCKED my messages on Messenger! Disgusting customer service and I would be extremely careful if you choose to buy anything from here! Strawberries that we picked were good although had to give my left arm to pay for them! IF I COULD RATE LESS THAN 1 STAR I WOULD!
Just called in to Maccas farm on the way home from Philip Island bought some local produce- Amazing & pretty cheap for the quality- Irish ️ guy been here 22 years & the Scottish lads staying in St Kilda-2 mins of the track but we’ll worth the experience- Thankyou so much will definitely call again
So glad we stopped here on our way to Phillip island! Such a fun and reasonably priced activity! The piglets were so cute and the strawberries were delicious! Will be recommending to my friends
Turned up for coffee as advertised on the website on a Sunday. Cafe not open which isn’t helpful when it’s such a detour.
Came here on our way back to Melbourne.
Kids enjoyed picking the strawberries. They were really sweet! My daughter kept asking for more.
After picking, we headed to the store to check out their other fresh produce. No wonder the locals love to shop here. Reasonably priced and they look so fresh.
Had the beef burger at the cafe, wow, one of the best burger I had. Bacon, cheese, egg, caramelized onion, beetroot and thick beef patty. Yummy! Also the staffs were very friendly.
Came here with a group for some beautiful platters: cheese platters and dessert platters. Enjoyed with a glass of local wine and delicious coffee. Highly recommend. Enjoyed browsing the farm shop too.
Best Strawberry Milkshakes anyone in my family and close friends have had. Second trip today and they have never disappointed me in or out of strawberry season. Not your average syrup shake.
To further impress the scones were great and they brought some gluten free biscuits for my coeliac wife because they didn’t want her to miss out.
The owner stopped to chat and fed the ducks/chickens in-front of my 3yr old and when she was overtired in the shop she was handed a free piece of rocky road.
Amazing staff, amazing food and milkshakes and a fantastic dinner made from items from the shop. They deserve more than 5-stars.
Fantastic food, Wether it be fresh vegetables or meat.
The basil is amazing, especially when fried up with one of their yummy Tbones.
If you like a beer try their IPA, well worth it.
My partner and I regularly drive an hour to buy the meats and farm fresh produce from here, its always excellent.
Well worth the beautiful drive to this quaint organic farm with its farm to table Cafe and Grocer. Pick your own strawberries is a must. It doesnt get any fresher than that.
Food was really good and coffee was excellent. Got yelled at when we arrived. Our toddlers wanted to look at farm machinery through the fence and as we walked there a lady came out yelling that the area is private property. Perhaps some fencing or signage could help? After a couple of explanations from us that our kids just wanted to look from a distance, she went away. Didn't feel welcomed by the server (? Owner). It seemed an inconvenience that we were asking about the make up of dishes. The website alludes to a lot of farm animals. There are some pigs adjacent, some chickens and a goose. Servers that brought our food were pleasant and helpful.
A beautiful tranquil place, I went to the cafe on Friday and had the special hearty beef stew, and a chai. The stew was super yummy especially with the crispy soda bread. The portion size was generous and when i couldn't finish it she gave it to me in takeaway bowl to take home. The chai was delicious. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. I sat on the tables outside and watched the chooks overlooking the strawberies. All in all highly recommended.
Giving a one star is too much for an old grumpy woman serving,
being so rude to children, Horrible experience.
Strawberries were sour like her lol
A lot of the produce served is made, grown or reared on the farm. Great meal but don't think I'll need to eat again today.
Also a great produce shop with local wine, beer, meats, veggies, cheeses etc.
Highly recommended.
We have been to Macca's farm twice now in the past month with our Mum's group and highly recommend it to any families and parents groups. We have set our picnic rugs up outside and the babies have played in the sun while we have enjoyed delicious food and coffee with a view of the strawberry orchid-so pretty. There is 3 sets of piglets you drive by on the way in as well, so cute!
Not overly impressed. Being asked for identification was a first! I ordered takeaway Quiche & was disappointed at the small size for the price. The atmosphere was unusual & too close.
For me I felt the cafe lacked personality. Not for me.
Wow! Paddock to plate plus we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Maccas last week sun was a bonus, incredibly tasty local produce. We'll be back. Highly recommend Mary's vanilla slice washed down with a sweet silky hot chocolate.
