Jude is very professional, easy to deal with, friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable about the
building industry.

Their prices are on the high side with basic provisions only. My lawyer had been contacting them many times for several months but they didn’t respond at all! Finally the building contract was terminated but they failed to calculate the final costs and took away all my deposit! Be careful dealing with them!

Re.your reply below, the sales agent Ray White Hong Kong had been contacted but they told me that they would not follow up our building contracts after sales. My lawyer had talked to Matt and sent several emails to MAC in the past months but didn’t receive any response!

Unlike with some other builders, I was only told about part of the upgrade items on their marketing materials and display homes, so that I think I understand what are upgrades and what are included - only to find it wrong later on. Only after the contract, they would tell you some items you were shown were in fact also upgrades, and if you wanna keep them you pay extra.

They told you the plans in contract is merely a marketing plan to give a rough idea. To get the actual drawings works and making sense, they make alterations with extra costs. The additional ain't costing a lot - only less than 1% of contracted building price so far, but they keep making such hassle that created more discontent than the cash charged.

They will tell you some necessary alterations are unpredictable, but it is a matter of professionalism. For example they tell you the need to alter windows (and extra cost) for overlooking and natural lighting issues is unexpected, but the neighbors haved already moved in, and a more professional builder would know about the needs before, not after the build contract is signed. They also shouldn't tell you there is enough space across the neighbors that such issue won't happen when you're buying the land.

They make delays in building, such is common for the industry now. My house was said expected to be delivered this Christmas if contract signed on Jan. It was signed on mid Feb, and now they estimate delivery on Aug next year. ATM, they are working on drawing plans and energy rating calculation.

If they managed to make things clear upfront and without additional costs as they promise, or if my BDM can fix them, I would give it a higher rating. He does try to offer help, but it is unfortunate only part of these are mitigated.

Our investment was built by MAC and the process was amazing from the moment we walked through the display home until we received our keys.
