Luna Park Melbourne reviews
65Although we got there late we still enjoyed the experience we had even if I scared the shizz out my cousin.but overall I'd recommend this place for family groups would come back
Rides were good for the kids who had fun but the lack of shaded areas was a problem.
There was water fans about and a misting tent but these could really only accommodate a few people. The park was quite full.
The day we went it was pushing 30 odd degrees without a cloud in the sky.
Great if you were on the beach but not so much with two younger kids wanting to run around and go on all the rides with no proper shading. Hats and sunscreen can only do so much.
Management needs to address shading issue.
I loved it. I'd recommend booking in advance if you're going on a public holiday or other busy times
It provides unlimited rides but to get a turn in best ride one go to take 1: 30 minutes for 3 minutes ride. Unlimited rides or unlimited waiting?
I think Melbourne needs larger than this park. The location is convenient to access, but it is expensive for the car parking. It is not big, and I think two hours enough to play all the rides if it is not busy day.
The park is filthy and very dated with a very small choice of rides with a lot of them being close. Every time I felt insecure about the security of the attraction since they are very old and when it was time to leave the park and it was raining, there was kids and baby’s waiting for their ride under the entrance and the staff had no pity and told all the kids to go under the cold heavy rain. My heart was broken when I saw all these kids and senior shivering in the rain like they can’t wait to close the gate a bit later. Be human please!
Needs some well needed maintenance. The 2 major rides are out of action and the next 2 major rides closed 2 hours early.
Luna Park is great for the kids any age, but one thing that has changed they are charging admission even though you will not use rides where as before that was not the case.
Luna Park is pretty cool, a little outdated and run down, but cool.
The scary old rollercoaster was the highlight for me.
Staff were friendly and food was pretty good.
Friendly staff. Great place for young kids. Cafe food was delicious. Go early to avoid big crowds.
Really nice place to go with your family, there is also nostalga whenever i go back to this place, but when it gets really busy, there is litrilly no hope to go on alot of rides for a small time span.
I had so much fun celebrating my Belated birthday with my friends.
The Luna Cafe is excellent in quality and service. The rides were spectacular, and even though rain did affect our ride availability, we were able to enjoy our day immensely!
Great fun-filled day, Very long wait for most rides though. Good fun for all ages especially primary aged children.
Luna Park is definitely worth a visit. 4hours is enough time to go on all rides and enjoy the atmosphere. I would recommend going even in the rain as the line to go on the rides are pretty much non existent.
Only seen from outside! Work folk fixing the rollercoaster while in St Kilda. Small. Great opportunity for photos below the magnificent entrance. Saw plenty of families going in on a Sunday!
The welcome by moon face is well known by everyone. You can enter and wander around without buying a ticket, but if you decide to buy a ticket, make sure you buy the unlimited ride ticket. You only need to ride 4 rides and you break even. We purchased our tickets on RACV and got a 10% (approx) discount. The highlight for us was the Great Scenic Railway and Ghost Ride - both historical. The Scenic railway is the oldest continuously operating wooden roller coaster in the world! The Ghost Ride was fun and somewhat quaint however the Haunted House was actually well worth it!
Icon of Melbourne and one of the most photografied place in St Kilda.
Kids enjoying a lot and you can spent a beautiful day on weekends or on school holidays
It's always been a fantastic place to visit.they even held Hotdog Eating competitions there annually.
We had a great day at Luna Park Melbourne. Miss 8 and Mister 7 loved it. The rides are great for under 12 year olds and the staff are friendly. One particular staff member should be commended, her name is Tash - she is super friendly and my kids think she is awesome, she has a great smile too!
Food is what you would expect from a place like an amusement park and the location is great - the tram stops right outside. Awesome photos opportunities at the entrance of the park.
Would recommend this place for families with kids 12 years olds and under.
We visited late afternoon on a Sunday during winter, had a great time. The roller-coaster was closed for maintenance until September 2019, said a lady at the ticket office.
