LUI BOSS NORTHCOTE reviews
13Seriously delicious.me and my partner are OBSESSED with the kimchi fries.the workers are always lovely and the boneless wings slap. 10/10 would recommend.
Awesome Korean restaurant. Friendly staff, reasonably priced and great food. Highly recommend!
Absolutely delicious fried chicken without oil dripping or the taste of it, yet perfectly fried chicken. Lots of sauce options or original which is still tasty and will make you go back for more. You can also add fried rice cakes and i highly recommend them, they are plump and chewy and I’m sure like me you wonder why these aren’t a side option. Plus kimchi kimchi kimchi! So many options plus jars you can take home that honestly beat anything you buy from the shops. With the option of being vegetarian. The kimchi options are endless and moreish, yet to try them all but the fries with kimchi and the pancakes are a hit.
There are a handful of high end restaurants that really provide an "experience" as well as amazing food, and LUI BOSS NORTHCOTE is one of them.
Ordered the Korean chicken, spicy pork, pancake and our waiter explained all the ingredients with great knowledge.
The Chef has a deep understanding with alchemy of flavours, and a consumate artisan to boot.
Good alcoholic and non alcoholic drink (Yuzu and Squash)
Will not forget our experience.
Impeccable food and service and will likely come back.
Perhaps only korean restaurant in northcote.decent korean food for decent price they have good stuff.as a korean feeling very nostalgic
Got Asahi, Yuzu Beer (highly recommend!), tteokbokki, soy garlic fried chicken and corn cheese brioche. All really good.
Had the fried chicken and a side of chips. The chicken itself was barely seasoned before being floured. As the sauce is put on the fried chicken I understand they don't want to have it too salty. But sadly that makes the outside tasty and the inside bland. Chips weren't salted enough either and seemed to hold onto too much of the frying oil. Crispy but oily fries.
Disappointed, but appreciate the effort.
Delicious Korean comfort food! Lots of options for vegetarians too- just look for the dishes marked with the option. We are very lucky to have such authentic Korean food in northcote! The staff are the absolute best ️ for BTS fans you must try the Bang tan chicken hehe
Went here for Dinner with just a friend,
We got full boneless chicken with Japchae & Kim Chi pancake.
Overall we were very satisfied the portions were much bigger than what we were expecting and we were unable to finish all the food.
The chicken was great we got spicy and soy garlic, spicy wasn't really spicy but still nice along with soy garlic being just right.
A highlight/standout was the kimchi pancake we've had many over the years and the ones served here are thick was quite large portion wise on top of being filled with just the right mix.
Only dish we had issues with was the Japchae the glass noodles were extremely chewy. Japchae is normally meant ot be chewy but this was something else.
Overall I highly recommend this place if your looking for Korean Fried Chicken locally with some side dishes to go with whether you dine in or take away to have it at home.
We did half spicy and half wasabi mayo bone in chicken plus stir fry pork. Get here. The food is fresh and quality and the staff made the experience 5 out of 5.
Noticed this place had opened recently so went for dinner last night. Food was excellent and tasty with dishes I haven't had before. Must go back as I need to actually try the chicken!
Very nice ambience. The fries loaded with Kimchi and cheese and spicy chicken ribs were my favourite. Good foods, generous proportion. I must say, it’s one of the best Korean Fried Chicken place in Melbourne.
We ordered 3 different dishes and they were all absolutely amazing. Top it off with the great service! Very family friendly. Yum yum yum!
