Lorne Country Club reviews
9Amazing spot, headed there for a wedding and some golf, both were amazing. Amazing wildlife around the golf course and the venue was an amazing spot for a wedding. Views are spectacular
Clubhouse with a great view of the sea, very well-kept greens, challenging fairways with lots of sloping slopes
What a venue. Fantastic golf course that is good for both experienced and casual golfers and a club room with incredible views of the ocean.
Incredible venue for a wedding! The view and facilities were perfect and the staff friendly and professional
Course ok, greens are nice and Views are amazing. But no pro shop so you can't buy anything, so go there prepared. I had to get my wife to come back to give us water, you will need it to climb the coarse. Finished our round came back to club house that was serving cold beers, thought yes finally a positive, then was told members can only have a beer what. Pretty disappointed and not a very serious establishment.
AWESOME place. Amazing kids meals too, with great prices under our budget. Stunning Views and kangaroos too, with a golf course kids can go outside and play and make friends. 10/10!
A really nice golf course! The grass is most of the time good, but has its patchy/inconsistent parts. Very hilly prepare for a workout! Absolutely lovely wide fairways! And my German wife absolutely loved the Australian wildlife, kangaroos and kookaburras, checked off the list! Thanks for a good time
For those attending the Peace of Mind Men's Retreat, a great venue with friendly staff and a fun experience for everyone involved.
How the Club has fallen. We have been regular visitors to Lorne & the Golf Club over the past 16 years. We have also been social members of the Club, whilst the membership entitled us to a free game every year. We enjoyed supporting the Club until someone decided to eliminate the 1 free game for social members? Not the smartest decision the Club ever made, but maybe it was the beginning of the end of customer service at the Club? Why do i say this? Well today we had the very unpleasant suprise of being charged $107 for 3 adults (one still a social member) & 1 eleven year old child, to play 9 holes. Seriously, charging an 11yr old girl $25 to play 9 holes? How is this encouraging our kids to play? Then to share the collective disappointment of only being able to play 3 holes, before it became impossible to continue. This would not have been a real disappointment, if we hadn't been hammered $107 to start with or if we could have explained it to someone at the Club. Or perhaps just enjoyed a drink & some chips at the bar & bistro whilst taking in those amazing views. But alas, for the first time ever, the doors were locked & the bar unmanned at 1.10pm. So for the first time in 16 years, we had no choice but to depart, feeling decidedly unloved & unwanted by the Lorne Golf. How far the Club has fallen. Customer service is officially dead. Shame, as this was once an amazing beacon of customer service & of community spirit. Truly sad as this may have been our last visit to the Club.
