Lolo and Wren reviews
34This cafe has got to have the nicest people working there. First time customers and we were treated so warmly. I left behind an item and someone there had kept it safe until I returned. Lovely food too, the art on the hot drinks is amazing. Highly recommend.
Delicious big plates, wonderful staff, and such a relaxing atmosphere
Perfect way to spend the morning!
The owner always has the warmest smile and it makes such a difference so thank-you for always smiling Aman! Also this place makes THE best chai latte I have ever tasted so I always come back for more and more. Other cafes have that artificial chai taste but Lolo and Wren is the best.
Tasty food, generous servings, lovely service. Decent cafe for brunch!
Great egg dishes. Hash browns are always a nice treat too.
They recently changed the menu and removed one of my favourite items, the red velvet latte. Also miss their takeaway menu as it had good prices!
There’s a specials board outside. Hope to see more veggie options on it!
Possibly the best food in Melbourne. Even just as a snack I got the hash browns and hollandaise sauce and the sauce was so creamy and delicious (and is so often done badly at other cafes), fluffy full squares of potato hash, so filling. Everyday I get a Nutella hot chocolate or make it a mocha. They have all sorts of cool coffee and non coffee drinks and an amazing Dulce de leche porridge bake thing. It’s the best food for a hangover and have plenty of healthy options. The food is AMAZING and they are so so nice. Shoutout to my girl Tahlia on the coffee machine?
Great coffee, the staff here are super friendly too. Heaps of indoor and outdoor seating with a great menu!
Great spot for brunch and coffee. The coffee is consistently great just the way I like it and the hospitality is top notch.
Thanks for being a part of my routine:)
We've been here a few times and always enjoyed the experience. Very family friendly. Great service.
Have come to this place before because the coffee was one of the best I'd had around here but it's really gone down hill just tastes like warmed milk, couldn't taste any coffee at all idk maybe it's a different blend
Had lunch here on Christmas day, staff were polite and the meals were well sized and presented and delicious. Provided feedback to staff as one of our meals ordered was a slight variation to what was listed on the menu. Staff was apologetic and acknowledged miscommunication and offered to provide that meal free of charge. I was still happy to pay for the meal but was pleased with how my feedback was received and acknowledged. These cafe owners take their business and customers seriously and conduct their service with integrity. Well done and Thank you - I will definitely be returning to Lolo & Wren
Best coffee, and a very tasty meal! Was very impressed with the service and the polite and friendly staff:) would definitely visit again!
Popped by the cafe after checking out some reviews. We waited at the sign with the 'Wait here to be seated' words for about 5 minutes while about 3-4 staff members were chatting away in an empty cafe before someone acknowledged us, then without standing up waved us to sit outside. While outside we waited more than about 20 minutes to receive menus (which were cut very haphazardly and laminated which seemed a bit tacky) or water, during this time another couple had sat down and left after also waiting for service.
We eventually order a drink each which also takes an extremely long time to arrive, where I received my drink but my friend was informed they had run out of ingredients for his. Would just have been nice to hear this earlier instead of when I received mine.
Food takes a while. Croque Monsieur seemed microwaved as the outsides were piping hot while the inside was cold and just raw ham and (unmelted) cheese - it was also super bland. The Blooming Bircher had far too much tumeric in the pear it was sour and we didn't eat more than a couple bites.
Overall, kind of an underwhelming experience with generally poor customer service/communications, sub-par food, and super long wait times unfortunately.
My absolute favourite spot for coffee, fresh juices, brunch and baked goods. There customer service skills are unmatched and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for great food/drink, a good chat and good vibes xx
Must try chai latte.
Good quality of food.
Worth it. I would love to go back for coffee and food.
Friendly staff.
Awesome ambience and very good location. The owner is very polite and professional.
Food is awesome and coofee is amazing. Definitely gonna be regular spot for breakfast
Very Friendly and professional staff. Lot of option in Breakfast as well as offcourse great coffee. Thanks
Nice enough coffee, and delicious decadent gluten free cake. Standard decor, a little cold but quite typically modern Melbourne.
Coffee and Chilli Scambled Eggs. Both prepared to perfection. Presentation of the meal was very professional and it tasted great (only if you like chilli). Always a good food experience here.
It was my first visit and I enjoyed the location and atmosphere of the Cafe.
Food quality and quantity was great (vegetarian/vegan option) with the coffee.
Owner and the staff were friendly and welcoming, would highly recommend to visit this place.
Good coffee, friendly and quick staff. Would have been 5-stars if they had made their own hollandaise.
