Loi Loi reviews
51Loi Loi is the probs the best Vic St has to offer IMO. Been frequenting the street for 12 years!
Walked in on Good Friday and was surprised with this little gem. Heaping basket of keropok (cracker) upon entry, followed by delicious rice paper rolls with generous serves of duck in them, served with a delicious dip sauce specked with carrots and nuts - none of the skimpy stuff you get from Roll’d. Also ordered combination pho (again, healthy serves of chicken and beef) and steamed chicken with bok choy and a soy and ginger sauce. Amazing taste, with prices that don’t break the bank. My boyfriend and I loved it - photos don’t so it justice. Will definitely be back!
Nice food. Reasonable prices. Took a while to be served even though we were the only sit in customers at that time.
Sime decor, but lovely food and people. Very helpful. Allow you to split bills. Easy to access. Great service
Great Value and tasty food. Was walking by and enticed by the crowd in this place compared to other silent stores on the same street. Food and service impeccable, I was pleasantly surprised by serving sizes!
Nearly worst place in Mel.
Venue itself lookes nice and clean
Had spring rolls, good
Rice paper rolls a bit sweet and weak sauce igredients inside not frsesh and weak too
i've never had such sweetest 'pho' ever in my life, it feels like they literally put some sugars or equals in the broth
Sweet and sour pork.just too sweet not sour enough, outside fry thingy was pretty thick and old oil smell came up.
Jeez shrimp snacks and entree were the best.how in the world little snacks taste better than main?

My partner and I have been to Vietnam 5 times collectively. This is the best authentic Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam we’ve ever had in Melbourne. We had the calamari, Peking duck (chinese I know but still delicious none the less) Banh Xeo to die for (not on the menu - you have to ask for it) and the best fried chicken with lemongrass and chilli I’ve ever eaten! Topped off with gorgeous authentic chinese fried rice and we were two very happy campers.
Our family has been eating here for years. Well.missed nearly 2 years because of lockdown, but this is the first place we went to when we could finally meet up again. The food is fantastic, great portions, good price and the service is friendly and welcoming.
I was overjoyed to find this traditional Vietnamese restaurant still standing when I walked pass this section of Victoria Street after more than 10 years. And with the price that I remember: $13 for an authentic, generous serve of aromatic chicken pho! ️️️
It was 3pm but I just couldn't resist: the price is so good, I think this could be the only authentic Vietnamese pho that is under $15 in the entire Melbourne metro area. When I was waiting for my takeaway pho, I couldn't resist to order 8 prawn spring rolls for $12.50. While I waited, the owners, an elderly couple with gentle and polite manners, started to clean and tidy the restaurant even though there was no customer. I then realised that the floor and tables were old but very clean, and the Chinese paintings on the wall are hand painted, not cheap prints.
When my takeaway was ready, the gentleman took out condiments, lettuce and bean sprouts from the fridge and patiently explained to me which ones go with the pho, which ones go with the spring rolls.
I reheated the spring rolls in the airfryer and they were crispy and tasty. I reheated the clear pho soup base in a microwave oven. It has a strong cinnamon/aniseed fragrance and not too salty, which suits my taste. The lettuce leaves, bean sprouts and herbs were very fresh. They didn't cut corners! The serve was so generous, I had the takeaway for two meals.
Great service, clean environment, tasty food and fantastic price. I truly recommend it for dine-in or takeaway.
Left my phone in the restaurant and they were lovely enough to track me down and let me know it was there. Thank you so much!
My favorite Vietnamese resto in Melbourne, been going there for over 20years. Delicious food at a great price. Best beef Lemongrass. & chili in Melbourne. Curry Laksa ain't bad either.
Great food, some pretty unique, at fair prices served by top people. Have been using this for a few years and will call continue to do so.
Second best bahn-mi in Melbourne. A bit further out from the hassle and bustle of Victoria ave, so a much better option to get in, order ur food and get out. They also have a heap of other contemporary and traditional options.
While looking at the menu someone inside gave two thumbs up so we went in and were not disappointed excellent
Very slow service. An hour to serve a bowl of average pho. Cashew stir-fry tasted like gravy. Wasn't even busy.
One of my fave Vietnamese restaurants. Everything I've ever ordered has been absolutely delicious!
My favourite is anything that has pork chops in it. They make them perfectly juicy and tender! But traditional meals to fried rice, everything has been great and I'm a picky Vietnamese diner.
Only ever ordered take away so can't tell you much else about the sit in service.
Safe, inoffensive Chinese Vietnamese fanfare away from the unpleasant part of Victoria Street. The consistency is the key. It's not five star restaurant and it doesn't pretend to be. You get a quick food feed and then you go back there again, and again.
Incredible Vietnamese food, generous portions and value for money! We regularly order here. Crispy beef mandarin sauce, duck in plum sauce, pork spring rolls w/ the lettuce and mint, special fried rice and our favourite sizzling beef spicy! Will always be our favourite value Vietnamese. BYO welcome here too which is a win.
Food here was great and the customer service was excellent. Will be back next time I'm in the area.
Awesome food great people
So sad I can’t go there to eat but take away will be fine best Laksa in town
Been going since it opened I think
