Locavore Cafe

Nice renovations. Would not recommend the toasties. $18 for a chicken, jalapeño aioli sandwich and it had no sauce. Definitely didn’t feel I got my moneys worth. Quite disappointed as I had been looking forward to coming here.

Unimaginable how an established venue can can get things so right day after day. Latte after latte

After waiting for somewhere to have dinner in lilydale, these guys delivered, showcasing the locavore catering menu, we where told the catering team don’t have many weddings at the moment so wanted to share there wedding fare with us all, far out if that’s what they deliver at weddings, then tell you guys get in on these guys for all your catering needs.
You will not be disappointed, the catering team are filling the gaps before they open for dinner, can’t wait to see what is to come,

Yummy pastries and muffins. Pretty good service, although customers kept leaving the door open so it was chilly and the staff wouldn't close it (I guess they were warm running between tables!) Atmosphere is nice and bright, although not massive inside and feels like more of a place to come for a quick bite to eat and a coffee, or takeaway, rather than spend time there.

Staff lovely however disappointing serving size of cake. Priced at $8 per slice and coming in at the end of the brunch period I would’ve expected the cafe to give a decent sized piece of cake. The cake was also not pre-sliced so that’s not the problem here. Either poor cutting skills or very expensive cheesecake. Not sure I’d return too soon as I can get better value elsewhere.

We had our wedding catered by Locavore, and it was absolutely incredible! We were told by multiple guests it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had, and everybody went home full! Throughout the entire process Locavore was friendly, professional and responsive. I would highly highly recommend Locavore to anybody looking for a caterer! Especially the lobster rolls and bao buns for canapés! Thank you for helping us have such an amazing day full of memories we’ll treasure forever!

Locavore catered my wedding at Acacia Ridge Winery in December 2022. We had a cocktail/canape style wedding with various canapes, sliders, food bowls, grazing table and booze food prepared by Locavore.

The food was absolutely perfect, great portion sizes, fantastic quality, great selection and taste to perfection. We have had a lot of positive feedback from the services at our wedding, but the food has been the first thing mentioned in all cases.

The prawns and mushroom gnocchi dishes were 5/5 star dishes, I have no idea how they get it tasting and looking so good and even staying hot too (was worried the gnocchi might be cool by the time it was served, this didn't happen!).

Thank you Locavore for making our wedding so special, can't wait to return to the cafe or use your services again!

Good coffee. Tasty fried chicken sandwich and chilli scrambled eggs. Food just seemed to take a long time when it wasn't very busy.

Ok breakfast.rosti was frozen on inside.wait staff were lovely and waived drinks.my partner loved her avo on toast.

Stunning coffee always very consistent coffee worth dropping in for a brew and while there pick up one of the amazing treats always something exciting in the front cabinet and why not hit up some stunning bread

No longer allow dogs in the courtyard and it is too cold to sit out the front in the rain and wind: (a real shame for customers like myself who enjoy bringing their fury friends out and about with them.

Suddenly decide today to ban people with dogs from dining in the courtyard, no mention made yesterday. I have supported this Cafe since the day they opened but will no longer step foot inside. What a brilliant way to cut off a lot of regular customers

Honestly the best almond crossiant i have ever had in all my 21 years of living. Great coffee, great service and tasty food. Love this place!
