We can’t thank these lovely talented ladies enough. My niece had her 18th last weekend which was a Disney/ Marvel theme. The ladies at Little Shop of horrors were very helpful and respectful. The hard work that was done to transform my daughter into Emily from the corpse bride was outstanding, she looked amazing.

What a shop that I had no idea of living in mornington a little bit of local area marketing and I'd almost charge entry to look at this magnificent shop. Staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. I will definitely visit again and get my costumes from here

The most amazing shop - it’s like walking into a movie set! Whether you want costume hire or purchase, pop vinyl, face make-up for costumes or coloured contact lenses. They have themes rooms, which the owners have built themselves. The horror room is completely cool as is the Harry Potter room. They also do kids parties and wand or potion making sessions in the holidays for kids. The sisters who own the store and completely legends and deserve an award for the amazing store they have built!

We went to the Little Shop of Horrors on Halloween Eve 2021 after ringing twice. On the first call, I was told they were set to shut at 10: 00pm, and that if the store was quiet, they would be shutting early. The call was rushed along when I asked about range, and I was promptly told to come in and see for myself and the call ended. After ringing back, I finally got a chance to speak and tell the worker that I lived far from their shop and therefore wouldn't arrive until around 8: 15pm. The employee then assured me that the store would be open to at least 8: 30pm.

After we managed to arrive early, around 7: 45pm, we were curtly greeted and told to be quick as they were "shutting soon". We had a look around, all the while more customers were arriving. The staff still were unenthusiastic and complained overtly and repeatedly to one another about their fatigue and how they couldn't wait to close the shop. While looking at costumes, we were told multiple times not to touch the outfits, despite the racks being packed closely, and some costumes being crowded between others. The costume hire price was definitely higher than it was lower for most outfits. Consistently, the prices labelled were high enough that they seemed more suited to be an outright purchase price. The unobliging customer service made us feel unwelcome and rushed. Our overall experience was disappointing and subpar.

This is an amazing costume/make up/gift and fantasy shop.

I love this shop! The staff is incredibly helpful and I always have a great experience when I’m store. The abundance of products to choose from and the attention to detail in the costumes is impeccable! Recommend to anyone!

Thanks for responding. Frankly, as a customer, it is not within my ability to extend my empathy and knowledge of the store into the past. It seems like I shouldn't have assumed that store management would have enough foresight to roster on enough staff, thus ensuring that breaks were spaced fairly and that employees did not become overrun or exhausted. Maybe the employees need to speak up if they can't even fit in a bathroom break. In addition, the circumstances and timing of the store's opening (Halloween eve and first day reopening) especially should have clued in management on the need for extra staff.

The contradictory information regarding opening times said over the phone made us feel unwelcome and rushed on arrival. No one ever told me over the phone that the store was definitely shutting early at any point. When we arrived, the store was not quiet. There were many other customers there. Yet as soon as a worker saw us in the carpark before we entered, we were told to be quick because the store was about to close. This happened around 7: 45pm aka our time of arrival, despite a worker previously guaranteeing that the store would be open until 8: 30pm.

In regards to a "red carpet", please stop exaggerating. No one wants that. A normal customer service experience was all that was expected. I appreciate you bringing up my other 1 star review made over 2 years ago. Would you like to also discuss the 1 star reviews other customers have left for your store too, just to balance it out?

The unprofessional tone of your reply speaks volumes about how personally the little shop girls take criticism about the store. No one person or people were targeted in my original review. I did not need to resort to past or personal information found on the internet to make a point.

While a perfect shopping experience might not exist on its own for those of us who do not enjoy shopping, the influencing factors such as customer service, professional PR, and overall fair pricing all heavily contribute. Instead of working on some much needed PR skills that could be achieved through taking on and investigating past criticism, it is evidently clear that deflection and finger pointing is the way the little shop girls answer their customers.

Rather than attacking those with genuine criticism, perhaps some lessons in professionalism need to be utilised and educated to the little girls at Shop of Horrors.

This is the last response we'll give, as it's not worth debating with a management team that deflects, exaggerates, and whines in their replies.

All I can say is: how the heck do these two women/superheroes do it all! Every time I have come in as a customer I have had a great experience and the girls go above and beyond to help out. The costumes are incredible and you could get lost looking at all the rooms. The venue itself is gorgeous, can tell that these ladies have put their hearts and souls into it - Halloween weekend was a pretty crazy and special event and I couldn't believe how well they did keeping up with it all!

These guys are amazing, they are extremely knowledgeable and super lovely, friendly, personable customer service. You can see the dedication they have in the way the shop is presented. Definitely a go to place for your costume needs.

I've been to Little Shop of Horrors a handful of times now, and have found the staff absolutely amazing! Super helpful and friendly! The atmosphere is great, the little shop is like no other, such an awesome experience ️

Most amazing wonderful magical place ever. Love it, dedicated owners so passionate & my daughter just loves to see her favourite movies in real life.

Cannot recommend Little Shop Of Horrors more! Whether your a legit cosplay/makeup artist to the average person looking for a costume for a party, they literally have it all.

As someone who does cosplay/SFXmakeup regularly the staff have been SO damn helpful in helping me bring my creations to life! The store itself is also an experience with different themed rooms that you can't help but leave inspired!

10/10 recommend to anyone; both the hardcore cosplayers/makeup artists to someone just wanting an amazing fit for a costume party/halloween! <3

Absolute gem of a place. You will immediately feel enchanted the moment you step foot in here. Fantastic collection of Halloween items, Harry Potter memorabilia and Fantasy costumes. Staff are friendly too.

The customer service is absolutely amazing. I made two seperate orders online mainly due to indecision, so paid for postage on each order. When I received the order I was absolutely surprised to find the team had sent me a complimentary gremlins pin (for context I was buying gremlins products).
That was very kind of you, unexpected and I absolutely love it! Would highly recommend.

Very helpful staff, allowed us to use vouchers that had expired and weren't able to use due to numerous lockdowns. Appreciated the flexibility and level of service.
