Little Lon Distilling Co reviews
33 I absolutely loved my experience at Little Lon Distillery.
The gins were all fantastic so it's hard to pick a favourite all being small-batch made their flavours all the more intriguing. I brought my friend there and he ended up buying all four bottles.
The service was wonderful and being able to hear a short history of the building and each gin individually was also really interesting.
Overall I loved my visit to Little Lon and I'll be returning as soon as I can.
Top night out with Tara Josh and Eddie with great service info and laughs functiona topic's. First time in a old bother and didn't use my wallet. Make sure you enjoy the kiwi influence of the night
OK I guess. This is a very historic building, which is great to visit.
However, the seating inside is VERY limited (I think 3 tables of 2 each). So, seating outside is probably the only way you can do it here and then hope there are enough outdoor heaters and then hope the heaters are working (which didn't necessarily happen). So, not the best place to go on a coldish Melbourne day. The Gin is average and the service can be mixed.
An awesome experience. Bring your sense of humour with you. A big thank you to Tara and the team for the hospitality, laughs and history behind their Gins. Couldn't recommend more
We had the best time at Little Lons gin masterclass. Lyndon and his team were professional, friendly, funny and not only was the gin amazing but we learnt so much interesting Melbourne history. Can’t wait to see what’s next for this fabulous gin distilling team and can’t wait to get back there for some fabulous gin cocktails.
Friendly service but slow. Need to speed up their operations. The product was good, especially the warm dutchy and the basic gin and tonics
Terrible experience. We booked a table inside the cottage for 4.45 and had this confirmed by email and SMS. I also double checked over email and was told the masterclass preceding our booking would finish at 4.30.
We arrived a little early on the day so we sat outside - we were told our table would be ready once they'd cleaned up after the masterclass - totally fine. We ordered drinks which took a while to arrive, but by 4.55 no one had given us an update on our booked table and it was getting cold and dark outside. We reminded our server who seemed to have forgotten that we even had a table booked, and a little while later, another server came out and told us that there had been a mix up and the masterclass was running until 5.30 so there was no room for us inside.
Options provided to us were continue to sit outside (in the middle of winter) or 'they could kick a few people out of the masterclass if we really wanted them to', completely unfair of them to put that choice on us. We decided to finish our drinks and leave as we were cold and frustrated - and were charged the full amount for our drinks (albeit offered a 'nip' to warm us up after sitting waiting for a table that was never going to become available).
The most frustrating part of the experience was that we could've avoided waiting around in the cold if they'd just told us upfront that they'd double-booked our table.
The cocktails were good but nowhere near good enough to make up for the poor communication and poor service.
Went for the gin master class, Tara and Ed were fantastic and welcoming all night! Absolutely recommend coming here and if you get Tara or Ed you’ll be a very happy customer!
Honestly Ed and Tara absolutely made our nights. Thanks for the insightful, entertaining and engaging evening, we loved it!
Highly recommend
Can't believe I haven't left a review here after being here about 100 times.
We are so lucky to have this place with such amazing staff. The gin is fantastic and it's clear they have a passion for their craft. More power to you.
Had a great afternoon at Little Lon last weekend learning about gin and melbourne's naughty past. Gorgous location and great gin! Thanks for a fabulous afternoon.
We had an absolutely amazing master class experience last Sunday. This place is a hidden gem in CBD and their gin is to to die for.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Drinks delicious. A cute little brick cottage in the cbd. Very cosy inside and in the court yard for small groups, or back gin garden for larger groups. Nice jazz music in the background to unwind with great gin. Definitely on my list of places to go for catchup drinks with friends
