Little Dawson / Soul of Hoffman reviews
29Absolutely abhismal experience. Ordered the waffles with berries, came with Tiny pieces of apple and orange cut up on it instead! Waffles were dry, fish and calamari chewy.simply don’t waste your time
I ordered a out of the ordinary lunch not on the menu, they had as no problems making it for me. Full thumbs up. Coffee was brilliant to.
I enjoyed a great brekky and hot choc with friendly service. Will definitely return to try others on the menu!
I walked in with my daughter. We got no acknowledgement and the barista had his headphones in, on a call, whilst making coffee. There was only one other table occupied. We got our own menu and sat down. After 5 minutes of no acknowledgment we left and went somewhere else
Great customer service, beautiful food and really affordable meals. Highly recommend! Local gem!
Little Dawson is a amazing place with the best falafel I’ve ever ate and nicest mixed juice I’ve ever had and very good service must go there and try it for your self
Cozy, good food, great customer service, and well priced! Every thing you want in a friendly little cafe in Brunswick.
I decided to visit this cafe and wow, the outside seating is fantastic, the service is incredible and the food out of this world. What more could you want? I recommend visiting this cafe, it certainly won’t be my last time here!
Cute little Cafe with nice outdoor seating. Loved the smoked beef rasher which is the alternative to bacon as it is a Halal Cafe. Very accommodating with dietary requests, hence our side plate for the Big Breakfast.
Service is so slow even when there’s no one else there, and the bread on the toasties are too oily and squishy- not toasted enough.
The cutest cafe with best hot chocolate and mocha on Dawson street. An amazing cafe for quick meal.
Coffee was terrific and the toastie was great, definately recommend coming in for a meal. Extensive variety of all day breaky too. Staff were very efficient and super friendly. I'll be back, thanks.
Yeah gr8 outdoors area with shade & they even noticed my BLT needed more than just a used napkin & offered a bag when I couldn't quite fit it all in - too much yum
Serving their regular customers only and if you are new customer then you have to wait longer then expected
Never ever wanna come back
Best coffee this side of the river, exceptional service & amazing food! Can’t go past the big breakfast but the chilli eggs is also super delicious! A must visit!
They serve pretty decent burgers. The patty is juicy and the fries are perfectly crunchy. Y'know sometimes you get people who just nuke them potatoes to the point where they literally crumble on first bite? Nah, none of that here, it's got a crunchy coating and the insides are fluffy.
The burgers are pretty alright, nothing to whinge about, but the star isn't 5 stars good, but it's definitely on the "comin' back" category.
The steak sandwich is absolutely phenomenal, I enjoy many foods here as it is served with quality and always taste amazing
A hidden gem! Great family friendly service, great coffee, amazing pancakes and morning winter sun! Perfect!
I got a real community vibe when I dropped into this cafe as I was riding past. If I lived local, I could easily seeing Little Dawson becoming my new regular haunt.
I really appreciate the encouragement to drink the free water available to patrons. "How's your drinking going? Stay hydrated! " XD
Warning for cyclists: I couldn't see any loops nearby and had to use a nearby parking sign - but I only looked on the Dawson Street side.
Little Dawson is a good little Cafe,
the Coffee is nice and the food is also pretty good although there is definitely room for improvement, the Croissants are good quality, they are buttery and flakey just the way it should be, unfortunately my
Ham Cheese Tomato Croissant
Was missing the ham and despite asking for Salt and Pepper on the Tomato this was also not added, the Croissant was toasted in a press which works really well when toasting, I like the way the toasting press flattens the Croissant heating everything through properly, unfortunately the underside of the Croissant was burnt and blackened giving a carbon flavour which is really not desired.
The Scrambled Eggs on Sour Dough was also nice but definitely requires some refining during preparation, the Toast was cooked with oil on a hot plate and the Bread absorbed a lot of oil, it would of been nice to have butter on the Toast rather than oil.
Apart from that everything was pretty good, Little Dawson Cafe has definitely got a lot of potential.
