LionCity Asian Grocery reviews
27Good range of products at good prices. I was looking for "Bamboe" brand of Indonesian cooking spices (Nasi Goreng and Nasi Goreng Pedas). Sometimes hard to find in Melbourne, including Box Hill. Lion City has the full range of Bamboe products, I think. Worth checking out if you are at Pinewood shops.
A treasure trove of SEA ingredients and special buys! Just received the freshly chilled Musang King durian air-flown from Raub. Every mouthful an explosion of flavour. Thanks Roger and team
When you want to look for some Asian food ingredients best to ask Roger, the shop owner. This is the place full of treasures! Don’t forget Saturday morning breakfast starts at 9am if you aren’t sure what to eat, but prepackaged take away only. Hey Roger, when is Bali peanut in stock again please
Nice Asian grocery that is frequented by locals. Well stocked, reasonably priced and at a convenient location.
Well stocked with mainly Malaysian and Singapore groceries. Friendly and helpful service. Stocks my favorite otak otak
This is the "go to" place if you're looking for any Malaysian and Singaporean groceries. However it gets busy during peak hours. Good staff.
The best place for anything and if you want to explore Asian culture, this place has everything. Lovely staff and owner welcome you and there are a variety of food there as well!
Bad experience. They sold expired food! I only noticed them when I got home! Worst, and they even convinced me to buy more!
Good focus on southeast Asian goods. My wife seemed to find everything she needed. Very friendly staff. Looking forward to returning.
Friendly staff and good range of asian products. They can bring in your favourite products if not in store!
This is the "go to" place if you're looking for any Malaysian and Singaporean groceries. Managed by welcoming, helpful and sociable staff, I managed to walk in a couple of days ago on a gentleman enthusiastically giving a group of customers a "tour" of the store, introducing them to their product range!
Love the auto facemask detection and temperature check technology deployed at the entrance! Asian grocery store that mainly caters to Singaporean/Malaysian grocery items, including frozen whole durians!
Huge variety of most asian produce, extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially the boss Roger. Need something? They will help you, no issues. Highly recommend!
The items they sell are reasonably priced and the veggies are fresh. I also find their selection of goods well suited for my family. Customer service is also great. I Watsapp them for a product and they responded well. Even if they do not sell it, they informed me that they will source for it. They also responded to me the rationale behind why some items are discontinued. They are helpful and responsive to enquiries and issues. Highly recommended place to shop.
Went there a week ago to buy century eggs however when I opened it, is already expired and the century egg itself is mouldy (Bought on 17/3 but it was already expired on 16/3). Will definitely not go back there again and because of this incident, I became even more aware of products on the shelves.
One of the best Asian groceries in Melbourne. Great range of products, always fresh produce, and best of all the level of service is second to none.
Good selection of fresh Asian vegetables, canned food, frozen seafood, meat and edible take-away.
Very good Asian grocery with great smiley staff. It stick mainly Singapore and Malaysian grocery brands. On Saturday mornings around 930 am onwards there are selections of good tasty Asian snacks and food. Must try if you are homesick.
Can get a little crowded and crazy on a Sat morning but with good food. It's bound to happen. Good collection of Asian produce from the lion city state and it's neighbours.
Roger and team are always on hand to give help when they can. Just have patience.
