I visited on Saturday 25/11/33 at around 2: 30pm to get some interfacing, which I found at a decent price. When I got to the counter to get it cut I was served by a lovely young team member in training. She looked to be maybe 15-16. The other team member (female blonde, maybe in her 20s? No name badge) who looked like she was supposed to be training the new team member was awful. The trainee was struggling with the customer ahead of me as they wanted a lot of trim by the meter. The trainer jumped in and said “that’s not sold by the meter, you have to buy the whole thing”. The elastic was on what looked to be a 200m roll. The trainer then sighed and rolled her eyes at the trainee. The trainee was struggling with my interfacing and kept looking over at her trainer for help, but the trainer was on her phone the whole time. I ended up helping the trainee measure and line up the interfacing correctly, as well as helping her fold it as she was struggling. Poor girl has the worst most inattentive trainer. When it came time to pay I mentioned I was a club member and the trainer just rolled her eyes again at me this time.

I feel for the young team member who has to rely on this trainer.

Went looking for something my wife wanted and found the store had a lot of items you wouldn't expect to find in a fabric store eg: kids games etc. Unfortunately because of its location I don't see it doing well in WG shopping centre.

Young blonde girl with the lash extensions was being a bit of a smart aleck and was laughing and smirking at my grandfather's accent (he has a language barrier). Very rude to be completely honest

Well stocked, neatly presented and clean store. Young, friendly and competent staff eager to help.
Well worth a visit on your next visit to Waverley Garden Shopping Centre.

This store has nice products but one trainee- Grace, was really rude. She was standing in the aisle with a broom watching videos on her phone with her headphones in and could not hear when customers tried to approach her for help or when she was called to the service desk to help, as she was on her phone. Later at the counter she was rude when serving an elderly customer and appeared to be laughing at her, but trying to hold it in.

Not sure where my old review went, looks like it was deleted. The blonde girl called Ashley was very unwelcoming and impolite.

What a horrid experience! The lady stocking shelves should NOT be working in customer service or retail.
I needed some help to locate a product.
I asked this lady about it to which she initially just seemed angry that I needed her help. Then proceeded to tell me “she does crochet, and this product does not exist” - implying she KNEW everything there is to know.
She then went & asked someone senior; I overheard the whole conversation, but rather than come back to Me & tell me they don’t stock it, she disappeared and AGAIN, appeared angry that I came back to her to ask her what her manager/superior said.
She proceeded to tell me again the product does not exist & when I told it’s available online & at Spotlight, she retorted with: “maybe you should just go to Spotlight then”.
After that shabby treatment, I definitely WILL be going back to Spotlight because their staff don’t treat you like you’re beneath them.
Reading the review of a lady from 2 weeks ago; perhaps this woman is a racist because I’m coloured too.
Race or not, she should NOT be working in customer service because she just seems like an inherently nasty person.

My toddler and I were shopping for some things I needed for my projects today. She is a great toddler and I am very careful and teach her how to behave with stock and in shops. However I found the lady organising the shelves not very welcoming - my toddler was just looking at the Xmas things as she loves bling and she said pls be careful some are fragile which is fair so I kept on making sure she did not damage or handle anything, very little touching, being careful and respectful etc.but at that time my little girl had not even touched anything. She loved the blow up Santa and wanted to touch it so I let her boop it gently with her palm. This lady held on to this thing that was on a shelf above my height and said be careful it might fall, as if my toddler would make it fall. She said for safety well maybe secure it when you first put it up if you think it’s not secure. This lady also nearly ran into me as I was browsing and didn’t even say sorry or excuse me. I really didn’t feel welcome at all especially since it is so natural for a toddler to love colour and beautiful things and I was very careful with her the whole time, she did not even ask me if I needed assistance, nothing just freaking out over my toddler going wow wow all over the store. I put my items back and I’m not shopping there again. I feel like because I look very young for many age and am coloured and have a toddler I felt treated very differently. I’m going back to Spotlight where I have never experienced the same unwelcoming feeling from any of the sales staff there towards either myself or my toddler. Bye.

Can't call their phone number to place a click and collect order as instructed on the Lincraft website. Call disconnects after two rings. Limited stores are open in Victoria so every store is at a minimum 40 minute drive which I don't want to make if there's no stock? Disappointing.

When I lasted visited the shopping centre, it was due to open.

My wife is delighted that a Lincraft is close by. She is a prolific knitter, and she often finds what she needs from Lincraft.

The store is next to Aldi, near the extreme end of the centre. The other extreme end us Woolworths.

The store is brightly lit and well stocked of yarn, fabric, haberdashery, art and craft items.

A happy wife, happy life and happy husband.
