Beware of suspicious reviews. My child is very blessed by the teaching quality and Christ-centered support from this school.

This school was okay when I first joined it. However, ever since 2021, things have gone downhill by A TON. It all started when the teachers started making us do schoolwork online. There were many distractions and technical glitches occurred very frequently. We barely did anything in class because of that. Then, the teachers started to ignore us when we asked for help. They always assumed that the kids getting low scores were responsible for everything that went wrong. I witnessed 4 fights in 2021 and 6 fights in 2022 (most of them happened at break times but some of them happened during class times). 2023 was definitely the worst year at LCC. We had way too many substitute teachers, students were given detention for minor things (such as wearing the wrong socks), the boys toilet in the Launch building was damaged almost every month, animals from a nearby farm broke into the school somehow, and there was a fire in the Food Studies room. As for the fights, I literally cannot even believe what I've seen. There were these 2 students in the 9A homeroom (Named Daniel and Kainon) who argued and bickered nonstop! The teachers didn't give them detentions but they gave detentions for wearing the wrong uniform? That's just logic I guess. Daniel would terrorize the school during lunchtimes and pick on younger children. He would sometimes get 2 other students to join him. One was named Johnny and the other was named Ethan or Eric or some other name that started with e. Oh and Kainon stole an ice cream on rally day and tried to deny it (and obviously failed) in front of other schools which ruined our reputation so I don't think that Lighthouse will be getting new students for a long time now. In conclusion, please do not sent your child to this school. There are far better options. If you want a solid private school, just go to Haileybury or Mentone. If you want a cheap school, why not just go to a public school instead for free? It's about the same level of chaotic that lighthouse is so I don't see why you're wasting thousands of dollars? Its a very good school, the only thing I am not happy is that there are many people who like to blame things on other students, and the teachers always believes the person who blames people/bullies. But some teachers a very good and listens to both sides of the story. - a student 4 stars

Students keep on screaming in my ear. I fell down once and there was no teachers on yard duty there, I was crying on the floor because I fell obvi. ONLY when my friend called a teacher the teacher came, the students kept on coming to see what's going on, I cried more because of the crowd but the teacher did try to keep things calm.some Students hurt each and blame it on others. - a student 3 stars

i think that the school is kind of bad because they sometimes swear even year ones. In this year there have been 4 times the principal changed.and they told us we are going to combine navigate and beam into a big primary, we we all said 'NOOOOO'
but they still cared on! WHAT THE HECK LIGHTHOUSE! Now they are giving us SWIMMING AGAIN, I HATE SWIMMING! Some of the swimming teachers are really rude and sassy they yelled at my friend because they let her almost drown, but some are ok.the changing rooms are so huge but no privacy only in the tiny toilets, and that the toilets are broken and we have to use the staff toilets, the boys get to keep there privacy toilets! HOW RUDE RIGHT? And I go to after school care and they don't serve food anymore! We have to get our own food and if you forget you just have to starve or ask for food from others. The canteen is closed for 3 weeks because of exams, and we have to bring food and only sausages on Tuesday and Thursday. - a student

Highly recommended Christian school with the exceptional values and great teachers and students. Stuff are practising believers and involved in local churches ministry.

I applied for a bus driver job here and was declined because I don't go to church, imagine if the situation was reversed and I declined one of them a job because they go to church could you imagine the uproar it would cause. Far from Christian to decline a person a job because of church attendance they are bigots that demand you believe what they believe or else.

Students get beat up, teachers victim blame and handle situations unprofessionally.very cliquey, there are nice students but a lot are bullies.teachers break students trust constantly and are very strict, there are few good teachers.someone got yelled at for getting 75% on an exam by a teacher, one teacher made someone cry by yelling at them because of their exam result.lighthouse has a few good aspects, but they dont outshine the bad.a lot of people have left this school after a short amount of time because of the judgment by both students and teachers. 2/10 wouldn't recommend.

The best school, I am happy with the satisfaction they gave me, they token care of me and study is the best.

I mean it's a good school but value for money isn't the best. Students there a generally very nice and there is are a few bad eggs that ruin other peoples day that somehow still remain in the school till this day after many years of this behaviour. Same thing with teachers most of them are caring but their are a few who just ruin the experience. We got this one divorced teacher who probably cant find anything else to do except mind other peoples business when it has nothing to do with them and vent at the kids just cause.

The management of this school must have been moronic or brain-dead. What's the need to limit students to wear certain colours of face masks? Nonsense!

My son got karate chopped by naruto runners and bashed his head on the stone outline in the sand pit at oval.

Loved this school and would go back if I could! I felt so welcomed when I first came and I love the teachers because their so caring. They have their flaws but then again, don't we all? This school gave me the best childhood and taught me so much. When I fell into depression I always forgot about it and felt so joyful! They've taught me so much about God and I can't thank them enough for everything they did.

This school teaches you how to make child size coffins which really helped since I didn't have to buy my own. I dislike that I have to pay an extra $14 for my kid to decorate a noose!

I was told by the enrollment team: 'We are a Christian school and require our families to be of the Christian faith'.
While I don't mind sending my kids to a Christian school, I really didn't like the non secular approach of this institution. I think this thought process just outweighs their high academic rating at least for me.

LCC is really good school.there's a real sense of community here and even though subjects and buildings are limited, overall its fun - Mikayla

I attend Lighthouse currently and really enjoy it. The students are friendly and there is a strong anibullying atmosphere that you don't have at a lot of other schools. The opportunities are endless, with mission trips, camps, excursions and more where you can learn so much. I strongly recommend this school for the better development of our society. Great education brings a great world!

I have never been more neglected and isolated in my entire life. Most of my classes were spent trying to keep my class under control (unsuccessfully) and I learned very little because of it. Very cliquey and teachers and students are desperate need of how to relate to someone with a difference that isn’t cultural related.
