Life's Too Short Bar

The food was awful, cooked at the bar in an air-fryer. The serving was slow, unorganised and below standard. On the positive side…. If you are looking for the most expensive meal cooked in a microwave and air-fryer, then this is the place to spend your $$$ and night. Shocking.

We had a lovely evening here. The food and drinks are delicious and the service was fantastic. They are able to cater for dietary requirements, particularly coeliac disease. Be sure to save room for dessert!

Enticed by the Poets and Prose sitting on Sunday just past. Hosts and owners Sig (& Tony) set a lovely themed, intimate and safe setting for those Poets readers and listeners, from experienced to the virgins (like me), be enthralled to test there untested pieces out to the patrons, who became, instant friends and "communi-fied" to the art of expressing the spoken word. The food beautifully prepared from the tiny kitchen was full of rich and mighty in flavours, and the selection of wines and beverages caters for all palettes. We will be back, to once again, be surprised.

Went on a night where it was not busy at all. Ordered one espresso martini, took them 30 minutes to start making it and cost $28. I would never expect to pay that amount for a cocktail where I am sitting indoors without a view or any sort of atmosphere.
Will not return

Service a little bit long but the 4 cocktails we had were delicious.
Did not try the food but the menu looked nice.

Every single dish was phenomenal!
Fantastic service from the kindest people that love what they do, and it shows.

A handful of chorizo bites & 4 prawns.
Cooked in the bar microwave and mini oven.that had to be check on by torchlight and took over 40 minutes to arrive.have certainly left a sour taste in the mouth. They might be a great wine bar but the cocktails and "meals" are subpar

Loved this romantic, sultry bar; great little spot for meeting friends, drinking great cocktails or finding interesting wines. Fantastic atmosphere and vibe.

What great hosts! We did the Gindulgent high tea. Knowledgeable and friendly hosts. Good A1 cater for our dietary intolerance s with beautiful non dairy cheeses. Cocktails delightful. Great value for money.

I don’t generally leave reviews but this place ABSOLUTELY deserves taking a moment to do so! WOW! We came up from Darwin and found this little place which is stunning inside out along with the people that own it and run it. We ordered around 6 meals and shared them between the three of us and we could not stop talking about how amazing every bite was, it was Unbelievably good food and company! Thanks for having us guys, will ensure we are back soon!

Found this wine bar after Ed Sheeran concert… owners and staff are amazing! Food was an amazing, cocktails were the best I have ever had. Do your self a favour drop into this wine bar and have a taste of what they have to offer! It’s the best.

Drinks were fine.
Food however was incredibly disappointing tiny servings and so overpriced.
Food came from a microwave and mini oven in the bar.
4 King prawns lacked any flavour and a hand full of not so (crispy) chorizo bites.
Leaving hungry and certainly won't be returning.

You must pay upon ordering due to recent (runners) I am not surprised.

Had a great time at the gindulgent high tea! Beautiful cocktails which paired well with the food. The host was knowledgeable and very hospitable. Would definitely recommend.

Sensational vintage wine bar. It reminded me of those small French wine bars in Paris. Food was delicious and the wines were top quality, with a good range of selections. Service was friendly. I would definitely go back to this bar.
