So many cultures, you can't feel out of place!
A church that actually teaches directly from the Bible

Just watched "Deal with criticism" sermon that reads little Scripture, and ignorant on seriousness of sins.

Romans 6: 1
"What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? "

Also watched false teaching "Gift of tounges" by Richard Kobakian.

He claims there are three types of tongues, with no Scriptural foundation. He claims prophesying is only really encouraging which redefines the meaning from thousands of years which is declaring the very words of God to his people. He misconstrues Paul’s argument about NOT speaking in tongues in the church because the only one who can really understand you is God so it doesn’t encourage anyone. Instead he claims Paul means it’s a secret language between you and God. Yet in the same passage Paul says it’s better to keep silent if there’s no interpreter!

If it was a secret language that the “devil doesn’t understand” why restrict it then? Why didn’t God allow the very person speaking it to understand it themselves! Sorry to say, this it typical of today’s type of teaching which is desperate to justify everything that goes on in the church. According to Paul, Tongues are for a sign, to them that don’t believe! Not to them that believe! Where there are tongues, they shall cease according to Paul, and they have. What’s going on today is gibberish that no one understands.

Churches may encourage speaking in tongues (means "languages" biblically),
but it should follow Scripture guidelines. (1 Corinthians 14: 27-33)

False understanding and practicing of speaking in tongues will lead to chaos.
(1 Cor 14: 7-11)
God is God of order but not God of chaos. (1 Cor 14: 33)
Scriptures affirm NOT everyone gets it. (1 Cor 12: 28-30 ; 1 Cor 12: 1-10;1 Cor 12: 18)
Please do not prefer to understand 1 Cor 14: 39 but not 1 Cor 14: 40

Since Biblical guidelines are not followed, then it could be
fake, deceptive, psychosomatic, and demonic.
(1 Cor 14: 23-25)

The church encourages people to pray to Holy Spirit, but in the Scripture, there's no such teachings. (Praying in Spirit is different from to Spirit. We can learn that from how Jesus command us to pray - to God, the father, but NOT to Holy Spirit)
The most detailed description of Holy Spirit in the Bible is a helper not a listener (John 14: 25–26).

What ought to be done therefore is a more regular Bible study that I enquired but non in this congregation.

The church website quotes deceitfully with Old testament books, but does not acknowledge that we are not under Mosaic laws, but law of Christ.
Scriptures said ONLY those who have been united as member of the church by personal faith in Jesus Christ should give to the people of God and the work of God. In the Bible, every command or exhortation to give is addressed to believers. Taking funds from unbelievers is prohibited
Read 3 John 7; see also 2 Corinthians 6: 14-18.a "church" without Bible study group is mere a social club. When sin regularly happens, that should weaken your faith!

The work of musician, graphic designers, and digital marketers truly did a good job!

I love this place. Very real people who love to make people feel like they belong. Don’t wait another Sunday. Plus they’ve got a brilliant cafe called the ninth ave.

Great preaching and praying! But very hard to connect with people and to make friends. I wish people are naturally more friendly, and genuine and not because they were told to.
The only reason it is hard for me to come to this church is being alone in such a busy place.
No one is an island! We all need connections and friends. I hope this will contribute to the church. All the best.

This is not a friendly place!
Sad to say because it’s a close church to where I live but I cannot invite ppl here any longer. The reviews written are mostly by people that work here or are involved in a big way.
The preaching is amazing! The senior pastor is amazing and genuine, but for some reason the people are not welcoming.
They expect you to go up to a iPad to sign in to a app to then get to know someone. If you’re in the foyer no one speaks to you, ppl walk right past you without even noticing, but for a hello at the door when you first walk in.
I’ve invited four different group of friends to this church and none stayed for this reason. Only yest a friend said to me she loved the preaching but don’t be coming back bc if it wasn’t for me who she knows no one else would speak to her and she come at least ten times already. Another friend came with her family for four months and couldn’t connect to anyone so went back to her old church.
I’ve gotten text messages from ‘ leaders’ to catch up & ive been open & genuine making that happen with begin flexible for any day but one only for them not to get back to me. A lot of ppl here unfortunately do things bc their leaders have asked them to and never follow through coz it isn’t genuine.
I hope this helps & changes.bc as I said the senior pastor is an anointed human but there’s only so much one poor man can do.

If you’re looking for a church that makes you feel welcomed and has a true love of Jesus then do yourself a favour and visit. Just go once and it could change your life forever.

Such a beautiful church full of amazing, inspirational and selfless people of God! I have been coming to this church for the past handful of months and have enjoyed every moment. LifeHouse is full of welcoming and friendly faces, they have brilliant music and a great service every Sunday!

What a church! People so friendly and welcoming, worship and atmosphere awesome, and preaching off the chart! But most importantly the love for Jesus clearly visable and felt! Would highly recommend to all.

I just love Lifehouse church and I call it home! Amazing culture, welcoming environment, beautiful Pastors and staff! It's made up of very real people who love God and love others. My kids love the kidsworld program too!

I have been attending this amazing church since I was 19 years old, I'm now 33. LifeHouse church has always felt like family and I love the atmosphere, Holy Spirit always turns up. I'm always encouraged by Gods love, a great start to my week. I'm thrilled that my one year old son is now participating in their children's program, a safe and fun place where our kids get to learn about the love of Jesus. I've also been blessed to utilise their Hush Room, a comfortable place for nursing mothers, where I can still be apart of the service and listen to the message, and take care of my little one. So much to love about this church!
