Admin staff were efficient and knowledgeable. Physio I saw was outstanding. Treatment options were explained thoroughly, I left feeling hopeful for an excellent recovery with a clearly outlined plan.

Jane, the front of house and the staff who teach and instruct are experienced competent and extremely pleasant. Taidgh is the Pilates instructor I could not be more complementary about, for his care and attention

Really disappointing experience with "Emma" who clearly lies. Hopefully they will remove her from her customer service role.

I have seen a few different physiotherapists at Lifecare over the years and they all have their own unique style of treatment, which overall has been a positive experience for me. The receptionists, along with the practice manager, Sally, are very friendly and helpful too. However, I did want to give a special mention to David Cheung who is an amazing physiotherapist. He gets straight to the point, sets simple motivational exercises and uses physical manipulation during sessions to ease the pain and stiffness. In just two sessions with David, I am already feeling an improvement with my injury. He is very personable, has great communication skills and is by far the best physiotherapist I have ever seen both at Lifecare and elsewhere. I highly recommend David for people who have painful injuries. He is a gem.

Really disappointing and painful experience with Dr Freitag. I was led on for 9 months with zero treatment. He went on holidays for a month without preparing patients, no promises or plans were followed through on, it took him or reception 6 weeks to give me a pain relief script that arrived in the mail when he knew I was in a lot of pain and when I spoke up about it (politely) he gave up on me and did not contact me. I am devastated and completely stranded after giving all my time and money to him. I asked for a medical certificate for Centrelink so I could get payments so I could continue to pay for his appointments while I am injured and he wouldn’t do it without another $90 payment. I had, had an appointment less than a week prior. Please do not waste your efforts here.

Great customer service by the receptionists I dealt with. Dr Zimmerman is amazing and was able to refer me on for the much needed treatment I needed for not one but 2 shoulder injuries. He is a lovely man whom I shared a bit of banter with regarding kids driving lessons! Really great facility and immaculate presentation. Sally the Practice Manager was exceptional, and her and her team coordinated not only my appointments in their clinic but also with the amazing team down stairs at Vic House. Thank you!
Highly recommend this clinic. I wish there were more stars as you would absolutely deserve more!

A great team of physicians, physiotherapists, podiatrists and myotherapists for all of your sports medicine and general musculoskeletal conditions.

My dicky knee and sore calf says thank you very much Nick Meffin. Not to mention the stress collected in my "mouse" shoulder & glutes. Press on.

Just went for a 30 minute 4.30pm appointment. At 4.50 I asked the receptionist how much longer the wait would be.response: She's running a little late. My response "A little". Her response: Its not me fault I'm only the receptionist. Mine: would have been nice to know when I walked in about her running late.
At 5.00pm, with no further news I left as I had anline appointment elsewhere. Will not be going back.

Jane Rooney, their knee specialist physiotherapist, is a miracle worker. I'd been to two different physiotherapists before her about patellofemoral pain syndrome and a very strange inability to straighten my leg. The other people kind of helped but not really and sometimes made it a little bit more painful with aggressive exercises. Jane sorted it out. She is the consummate expert in all things knees. Her examination and advice all were consistent with someone with years of experience and insight into my unique problem. Now what I thought was going to be a lifelong disability is barely a problem. Thank you Jane!

The other staff are all super nice as well.

Very friendly staff, very professional and clearly able to cater to the needs of the patient. Even without private health care, I doubt I'll go elsewhere. Emma is a legend!

Saw Keith at the start he sold himself really well saying how much experience he has and he would put me in contact with professionals to fix my problem the exercise program I gave a red hot crack at but it made the pain get worse I went back and he basically told me I should go to a pain specialist I asked him I don’t know any could you point me in right direction etc basically told me to go to my own doctor such a waste of money wouldn’t recommend.

A very disappointing visit that has left me in the same situation as to when I started. There was absolutely zero treatment provided. Over the 30 minutes I received:

- A brief discussion over the issue
- Performed calf raises and seated calf raises
- Was given two exercises that I should do daily
- No physical treatment. No massage, no even touching the muscle to assess the tightness, etc
- When suggesting treatment to loosen muscles (back, leg, etc) I was told that the centre has a really good myotherapist who could do that and I should book with them
- Advised to go for a 6km run for me to identify when it hurts, how long it is sore after, etc. Given I had come in to treatment because I couldn't run, which they knew, I was at a loss for words.
- Advised that it could be "a number of things" so we will just keeping trying different things until it works

And then I received the privilege of paying $105 for the staff members amazing insights. The cynic in me suggest that the staff member had no idea how to treat the issue, gave me exercises and will keep me on the "payroll" by asking me to return every three weeks. Oh and the bonus amount I may spend with their myotherapist if I actually want a muscle treatment.

Avoid and go to someone who will actually treat your problem instead of talk at it.

Cannot recommend the team here any more highly. They've looked after our kids and those of friends. Whether it is a sprained ankle or post surgery, the strategies set out coupled with their own gym area, used to train and perfect the specific exercises between each visit.genius. If you're unlucky enough to have a full knee reco (as our eldest 15yr old basketballer did) at The Avenue done by Melbourne Orthopaedic Group; this is where we were sent for physio. Thankfully!

Was able to get a last minute appointment here with Keith after doing my lower back in. Had never been to a Physio before so no idea what to expect. After 20 minutes with Keith, and a half dozen carefully placed needles I was able to walk and move without pain again.

Highly recommended to anybody that listens!

I saw two Physiotherapists over three appointments here for mild back pain. Very disappointing experience. They are more expensive than most Physios around so in return I think it's fair to expect a decent level of service which certainly wasn't the case.

My experience:

-Only received the most cursory of examinations.
-Judgements were then made very quickly as to what my issue was which surprised me given the limited information they had.
-Sent home each time with a series of exercises which didn't seem to help.
-Received no actual physical manipulation until almost having to insist that I get some pain relief during the third appointment. The Physio then begrudgingly complied but was deliberately rough. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this was. Physios avoiding having to actually provide "physical" treatment seems to be a trend nowadays as they are worried about ending up with occupational overuse issues themselves which I sympathise with but if I'm paying top dollar to a Physical Therapist and they aren't going to provide any direct pain relief this should be advised upfront and perhaps charged at a reduced rate.

Suffice to say I won't be going back here!

I'm not involved in the health care industry in any way so this is a genuine review and I have receipts to back this up.

Have been attending Prahran Sports Medicine for over 10 years for any physical injuries. The staff are highly knowledgeable and all specialty areas are covered at the one location, with friendly and helpful staff.

A deeper level of expertise than I've found anywhere else - includes a team of physiotherapists and doctors focused on shoulders. Wish I'd known about them many years ago.

Staff are rude, ignorant and condescending.
When outed about their atrocious costomer service they blatantly lie.
Given the disgusting attitude of the receptionist staff one can assume, on the balance of probabilities, that the rest of the staff arent much better.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
