I’ve been coming to Lidis for almost 10 years now and just got my wedding suit from them. They are without a doubt the best place for suits in Melbourne. It’s family run and you’re always dealing directly with the owners - not some random employee. They are also old school in the good way - they really take their time when fitting you for a suit and tailor it free of charge to make sure it fits exactly right. They’ll proudly tell you that they’ve been running their shop for over 50 years, and I think they’ve probably forgotten more about suits than most other shop owners ever know.

Very friendly service from Pam and Steve, they do free alterations which is great, but service and price is why people go here.

Best real tailor in Melbourne.
If you want something bespoke or altered to your taste you will not find better. I and my son have been going there for 2 decades for trousers, jackets and suites. Best fabrics from England or other quality makers. Most other 'supposed' tailors in Melbourne charge much more and send the measurements to Asia/Subcontinent to be made.
Lidis orders fabrics for each order as needed, and will make it on site in Richmond and get you back for remeasure before handing clothes over. This is the real bespoke experience. Long may Lidis live.

Would highly recommend visiting the family-owned business team at Lidis Tailors & Moda. I came in looking to get my wedding suit and suits for my 4 groomsmen, and they have done a sensational job. I had a particular style in mind for our wedding and they tailored the suits perfectly to the centimeter. Tailoring for every item was complimentary as part of the price of the suits (which were extremely well priced and great quality). Thank you Pam, Michael and family. Michael and his dad Steven have looked after me with impeccable suits for over 20 years. They measure and fit every suit to make sure that it is perfect (not to mention they are also very well priced) There is no one else I'd trust to get my business suits from. I highly recommend Lidis Tailors.

Would absolutely recommend this family business. Have had 2 friends buy from here for their weddings so I decided to purchase here for my own wedding. All up bought 6 suits and every visit the customer service was amazing! Husband, wife & owner Michael were always friendly, professional and went above and beyond for us.

I have been buying suits and jackets from this lovely family-run formal menswear shop for 10 years at least. I went again last week to buy my next suit and look for sports jackets now Covid means I work mostly from home and a less formal look is more part of my life. Yet again, they have a great range, pricing, attentive service and free tailoring (by an excellent tailor, by the way) for a perfect fit. And I walked away with one more jacket than I really needed because I liked it so much. Great classic cuts which means as usual I will wear them out with love not throw them out because I got fed up with the style and fit. For formal wear the value, range and quality available at this expert shop make it stupid for me to go anywhere else. I bought a suit for my wedding and can't recommend them highly enough. They were so helpful and had great attention to detail, and the suits we're good quality and affordable. They even offered free tailoring! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a suit! It's also such a great way to support the family owned local business.

Our entire family has been coming here for all our major life events (new jobs, weddings, etc) for the last 15 years. I can give no greater complement than that!

The reason we always come back is that it’s run by two knowledgeable life long tailors (husband and wife) that always give us exactly what we want, without the high price tag (e.g. Alterations are free). In other words, we can trust them with our big family events every time, without breaking the bank and without compromising quality.

The best tailored suit experience that I’ve ever had! And less than the price of a Myer suit, I just couldn’t believe it!

I have just bought a suit for wedding from Lidis, they have great range of suits to accomodate for any occasion and they have a very competitive price range, it’s a family run business and I recommend going there for a wonderful stress free experience.

My partner loves this place. Free alterations. High quality suits. High quality customer service. The suits feel tailored and are fantastic.

Recently went into the store. Had an excellent experience. Tailor made all the adjustments on the day and the final product was amazing. My husband has been a customer for 8 years and we enjoy the professional staff. Would recommend to anyone seeking a good price and excellent quality from the top brands.

Went into the store and wanted to get 2 x groomsman suits. The lady who assisted us was quite friendly. Whilst we were trying on the suits, we decided that the style and cutting was not really what we wanted, the lady helping us had already asked the tailor to assist us with taking the suits in (at that time we did not indicate we were wanting to purchase). We told the tailor thank you but it was not the style we wanted and would keep looking. The tailor muttered some words and said to us very rudely we would not find anything off the shelve that would fit. He then just walked away.
We found the staff here to be rude and we did not have a good experience. Will not return or recommend.
