Licola Caravan Park reviews
17 Grassy and shady camp spaces with access to the river.
Great shop for supplies.
Very friendly and helpful manager and staff.
An older park (with action and plans for upgrades) but a wonderful place to stay and explore the fabulous mountains.
We travelled to the Licola Caravan Park on motorcycles (10riders) and asked Leanne the owner if she could help out with some supplies for a bbq dinner for the group. Not only did Leanne make us feel welcome, she organized bbq meat packs, salads, bread and snacks that were placed in our bunkhouse prior to our arrival. She even put a box of beer in the fridge. This was all at a very reasonable price. The extra effort by Leanne and her well mannered and courteous son, Carlton was very much appreciated by the group. We will definitely return. Thank you Leanne and Carlton.
Leanne is a great host. Catered for our group of motorcycle riders so well with food and accommodation ready on arrival and even went above and beyond with suppling some wood so we could have a camp fire after dinner… thank you
Amazing location with an even better host. Nothing was a problem for Leanne, 10 of us on adventure bikes recently stayed at Licola and she had BBQ packs and nibbley's ready for us, it was amazing.
Came down from the Pinnacles Rd, after losing my exhaust connection. Leanne was able to get me on the right track and referred me onto some great people in Heyfield for a repair. Unfortunately we weren't able to complete our high country trip, so the next one is already planning as we speak, as have some unfinished business with Billy Goats and Woods Point. Cheers Leanne for the leg up, and will pass through to say hi when we are there next!
What a great spot to start, finish, or to Base camp with the family. The owner is a friendly, The park clean and very relaxing with great bird life and the Macalister river right on the doorstep. 5 Stars for this and I will most defiantly be back. Thanks for having me. Bush Tv.
Very accommodating. Nice open fire in cabins. Lots of snow if you drive 40 minutes up the hill.
I am drawn to Licola. The ladies running the campgrounds are lovely. It's a beautiful place to rest up, have a fish (many spots around the grounds), and feel the escape from the busy city. The valley has much history and I will be going back for sure. The large camper trailer and tent area has a beautiful sheltered area in the centre to lounge, yammer and stay warm. A personal favourite
Hands down amazing spot with great staff and facilities! We popped two tires 4W driving on Billy goats track and licola was the closest town. We managed to get there for an unplanned stay and the staff there were amazing and very accommodating. They didn’t even charge us for the night. Amazing people.
The caravan park is extremely clean (toilets included) and has a great setup with fire pits and a hose at each site.
If you’re passing by then I highly suggest a stay. Ps amazing coffee!
We decided to stay at The Park at last minute so I rang the park and they had 100% what we wanted great park greT people and the fishing was fun for the kids we will be back
My friends and I have been coming here for the past 20+ years. We love getting out in the high country and relaxing around a campfire for the weekend. I have to give special mention to the new owners of the general store and caravan park who in the last 6 months or so have not only improved the general surrounds and accommodation but made us feel more welcome than ever before! It's great to see people running a business with such enthusiasm and a love for what they do. We stayed over the weekend at short notice and were treated with great hospitality. Keep up the great work and I'm sure you'll see us again and again and again!
The first photo is literally taken from the side of the caravan park! Adam and I passed through here late in March 2023 on a long journey walking to Sydney. Leanne the owner is a powerhouse of customer service picking us up earlier on the trail as we had a huge walk that day to get there. Her passion and love for Licola shows and is reflected in the caravan park. It’s clean, got everything you need (for us a warm shower saved us) and has a real home-like environment where you feel part of the culture staying there.
We’re so grateful to have passed through and our lives are better because of it. I urge you to try it out - You won’t regret it!

Stunning little oasis at the base of the mountain…. Perfect pit stop before heading up to the playground in the hill or on the way back to civilisation

The coffee is great, the people are so friendly.
Beautiful location with an amazing camping ground.
Perfect location for families
Just did a recent trip to the caravan park. The park was in great condition and very clean. I was in a club groub with approx 30 cars and a few campers trailers. We fitted well and didnt feel squashed at all. Got to meet the new owner Leanne and she was so friendly and happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend. Thanks Princess sparkles
