Leslie Moorhead Preschool

Leslie Moorhead is such a lovely kinder. My son comes running out the gate yelling "mum I just love my kinder! " every week. The staff are beautiful, warm and so kind to all of the children. They go above and beyond to ensure that each child feels welcome and happy when they come to kinder. Leslie Moorhead is inclusive of all children. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

I want to start by stating that this review is written with absolute honesty, voluntarily, from someone who has worked at Leslie Moorhead for 2 years. And who would have a better insight into this pre-schoool life than one of it's employee? No one. I have worked in a variety of settings since moving to the Peninsula in 2016, both long day care, pre-schools and even establishments which were a mix of both. What I can tell you with absolute assurance is that the team dynamics, the cohesiveness between educators, teachers and management affect the quality of the program and the level of care that is given to your children. I have NEVER worked in an environment where the staff (as a whole) was so supportive, encouraging, caring and motivating with one another. At Leslie Moorhead, my strength not only have been recognised, but they have been nurtured and encouraged to grow. What happens in this circumstance is that the staff goes above and beyond to ensure your children are given the maximal amount of opportunities for learning, while embracing their culture, interests and individual nature in a caring, supportive environment. I go to work 3 days a week with a smile on my face and happiness in my heart, and I respect and appreciate each and every one of the children in my care. Nothing pleases me more than succesfully drawing out their inner strengths and getting them ready for the challenge that is school. This sentiment resonates with every single co-worker I have the pleasure to collaborate with at Leslie Moorhead, and as an eductaor and a mum myself I could not think of a better start to their learning journey than the one they will obtain at Leslie Moorhead.

We have put both of our 2 girls through Leslie Moorhead Pre-School, 3 year old and 4 year old kinder.
All the the educators are super lovely, kind, caring and very approachable.
Both my girls have loved every second of kinder and are always excited to go there.
They learn French with Steph and it so cute hearing all the kids sing and count in French.
The outside playground is massive!
It truly is a fantastic kinder.

To any families considering Leslie Moorhead pre school for their child I as Father could not be more happy with the school all the staff and the beautiful safe environment that they provided for my son. It is a fantastic platform for the transition to primary school. My little boys development whilst in the care at Leslie Moorhead was amazing which has benefited him immeasurably in his transition to primary school. I highly recommend any parents out there to strongly consider this kindergarten I garentee that if you choose them you will not regret it.

We are absolutely thrilled with our decision to enrol our daughter for both three-year-old and four-year-old kinder at Leslie Moorhead. She is so happy and relaxed here, thanks to the wonderful staff who go above and beyond to create such a nurturing and welcoming environment where the children are encouraged to be independent while having a strong sense of belonging. (Plus, the outdoor area is fantastic!) Thank you to the staff, parents and team at Leslie Moorhead Pre-School for providing such a beautiful space for our children to learn and thrive. We couldn’t be happier.

We LOVE Leslie Moorhead, all 4 of my children have attended this Preschool for both 3 & 4 year old Kinder, and I can't speak highly enough. Amazing staff, who majority have been there for several plus years and their approach to teaching is outstanding. The inside and outside facilities of the Preschool is fantastic and they are always making improvements to continue to give our kids the best possible opportunities for play based learning.

Both our children have done their three and four year old kinder years at Leslie Moorhead Pre-School. What attracted us most to the pre-school was their well-structured programs, highly trained engaging teachers and educators and their inclusive, nurturing environment. The play facilities are also brilliant with so many opportunities for imaginative play, gross and fine motor skill development and social skills building. The French program was really immersive and I was amazed how much the kids loved learning, cooking and singing in these sessions.

Leslie Moorhead came highly recommended to us by numerous friends & as soon as I did a tour I could see why- the staff are all so lovely & the kinder has a warm & family feel. The teachers & educators have done a fantastic job in making my little one feel welcomed & confident in starting 4yo kinder. The outdoor area is also amazing - a huge space with so much for the kids to explore. My 4yo loves it & we are so glad to be part of such a great kinder.

I have had 2 children attend leslie moorhead Pre School for 4yr old kinder in 2017 and this year 2022. Our experience has been more than amazing. The educators go above and beyond to help the children feel safe and settled which means my boys were always super excited when it was a kinder day.
The inclusion of French in their program as well as indigenous aspects helped my children broaden their knowledge of the world around them.
School readiness is also a very important part of what the children learn and something I noticed as well as his teacher when he started school.

I went to Leslie moorehead preschool myself 35 years ago so it was an easy decision to send my little girl. Joey loved Leslie Moore head. The teachers were all so approachable and easy to deal with. Joey loved her teachers. She especially loved doing French.
2 of my best friends still to this day are people I met at kinda and I hope my daughter has friends from kinda when she is 40.

As a grandparent I became involved when invited to join the committee.
What I found was an extremely dedicated and caring organisation who worked tirelessly to provide the best level of care to the children. They operate as a not for profit organisation often on a very tight financial tight rope, but they manage very well and nothing seems to effect the level of care that they provide despite the financial challenges. If you want your child to be given an excellent kinder experience, please support this not for profit organisation, you will not be disappointed and your child will greatly benefit from their time spent in this warm and caring environment

My husband and I sent both of our children to Leslie Moorhead and had a wonderful experience both times round. All the teachers and staff are amazing and prepared our children extremely well for School. Both our children really enjoyed learning French. The intimate setting and outdoor space were a highlight for us. We would highly recommend this Kinder.

This place is awesome. Small, family-feel set up, teachers take their time to get to know you and your kid. My 4.5 yo loves it and every Monday wakes up excited because "it's kindy day! "
Tons of outdoor play area which for me was the biggest selling point. And they do French as their second language with native speaker, Stephanie.
