5 A big Thank you to all the staff at Curran Place. Thankyou for your care kindness and understanding. You are all heroes. The nurses and workers are wonderful. My experience has always been supportive.
Again Thank You to all the staff. You all do the hard work often under trying situations and that is courage and patience. Much respect.
Dale Chambers.
Fundamental issues with dispensing prescribed medication. Intake process seemed unnecessarily prolonged. Claimed to be very busy that day when they seemed to have an ample amount of staff on duty and I was one of only three participants starting. Facilities appear to be more pleasant than the private system but you won't run into medication issues there.
I wasn’t given the correct amount of my medication which led me back to Hospital AGAIN, not happy, even my Husband said since I took control of my medication I hadn’t had an encolopathic episode for 6 months! Which is true! Staff and other patients were mainly kind and I initially was enjoying in participating in sessions and activities and helping out! I was going on from there to Odyssey but I know with support and home comforts I can already feel the benefits I know I have already conquered my demons and continue to live a better, healthier lifestyle! I was in denial for so long almost too long! You can do it too!
In my week there, six out of the eight clients left prematurely, not completing the 7 days detox.
3 evicted for arbitrary staff decisions - no reason given. Staff lie.
1 ejected for being disruptive - not counselled about her behavior.
2 voluntarily, due to dissatisfaction with staff attitudes.
Med times are not kept on schedule, causing some to miss their meds.
Security is poor - we had a psycho break in and assault a client sleeping in her room. She was given no support and was evicted!? !
Best I can say is the doctor s great.
