Leroys Cafe reviews
71 This place is a hit with locals and is usually packed. The recent makeover has made much more outdoor undercover seating which is popular with young families.
Great food and really good coffee. It can get very loud and busy and the entrance / waiting area for takeaways can get crowded.
If you are looking for somewhere quiet to sit and read, definately avoid peak times.
I've never had such a terrible "Angus" hamburger like that in Melbourne. It was completely overcooked and didn't taste well.
Staff was ok.
I’m all for supporting local businesses but the “I’m too good” sarcastic attitude from two male staff yesterday morning put me off completely.
I politely cancelled my order and left.
A smile and friendly attitude goes a long way boys.
The new girl training behind the counter was lovely however- Definitely keep her!:)
Great cafe, with a great variety on the menu, food is always of fantastic quality. Have never been disappointed. Staff are lovely too.
Lack of options at 4pm, closing at 6pm. Had closed down blenders so no smoothies although were given full drinks menu. Over priced small portions.
Great cafe for a catch up with friends with young kids. The playground at the back kept the kids busy for a quick snack, and the burgers we're fantastic!
I went there even before 2: 30 following the open hour instruction says till 4: 00
then they said they were closing up in 15mints.they mislead customer.now I got reply from the owner.but I already checked other's review and found a guy also got same experience there.and he definately went on another Sunday.the owner replied us with exactly same sentence, means just copy and paste.if the AC was broken at the day, what's the reason for other day? Sorry, but I can't keep this only between us.
Remarkably good coffee, fast service, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. They also have a nice playground at the back.
Lovely staff and great food. Leroy's is a great place to go with kids as they cater well for children with a huge number of highchairs, plastic cutlery and cups and even a cubby house play area out back.
I looked up the menu as I am at work, and did not want to wait for my order. I called to order, then went to pick up. Got there and decided to eat in, however they tried to charge me $20 instead of the $17.50 which is on the online menu. When I mentioned to her it was $17.50 online, she said "ooh no sorry our prices changed, I think they just haven't updated it online". I replied with "well it says it on your website that it's $17.50 so I think I should have it at $17.50. She just said ooh no sorry and began to process the payment. I looked at the eftpos machine and found it to say $20. I told her, no I don't think I should pay $20, it's not my fault you have not updated your prices online. She then asked me if I wanted to speak to the manager. I said yes. He came and tried to say the same thing, "sorry we increased our prices, but they are still working on updating it online". I said "ell it's not really my fault". He insisted that I should pay the $20 because that is what it is. So I had to insist that I should pay only $17.50, mentioned again that it isn't my fault that their online menu does not reflect their new prices. He then just walked off. Went to the eftpos machine, by then there were more customers around. So now I am embarrassed that I even have to ask for this rectification. I offer to just pay the $20, and advised him that he should really look at fixing the online menu like ASAP! But he just said "no I'll fix it up" not even a smile or anything, just reluctantly did it like he didn't want to be at work today.
Moral: Everyone goes online, how the hell would you not update your online menu first before you update it in store. If you can't update it then simply take it down. Also why the hell do retailers expect customers to argue with them to prove a damn point before they reluctantly do what they should be doing in the first place. Leroy's you should honour your online price, and not make people have to bloody argue with you in front of other customers over bloody $2.50! It is unnecessary and ridiculously rude! Then I got it and it wasn't even all that, just ate it cause I was starving and hadn't eaten all day!
Attentive staff & a welcome relief from Melb's summer heat with gr8 home made refreshments on lotsa ice - yay
