LE CHARME reviews
36I ordered a bowl of beef sambo noodles that day, and after it was served, there was only beef brisket in it. After the waiter changed a bowl for us, the beef lobster inside was actually ice when we bit into it. I had diarrhea for three days after eating it. It’s so rubbish. Don’t go there
Great authentic place in the heart of Chinatown, generous portion, great taste, affordable price, friendly service, will come back for more!
The food was great, large portions, huge selection, piping hot. Tried their melon sago dessert, deep friend rice balls and ginger milk pudding first visit. Came back today to try their baked tomato pork chop rice, Portuguese curry chicken rice and congee with steam rice rolls meals set.
The tofu smells fishy, the egg smells fishy, and the three-cup chicken is not tasty. In short, it is not as good as when it first opened. Even the shrimps in the scrambled eggs are still raw.
There's a lot of Hong Kong style eateries popping up. This one is okay. There's a very extensive menu. No standout dishes for me but the price was very reasonable considering the interior was quite nice.
There was some charm at Le Charme but I'm sure if I'll be back. Not bad overall.
Great food! The food portion was big, didnt anticipate that.
Drinks was nice! Dessert is nice and big portion as well.
The food is amazing with a traditional Hong Kong menu. Really cheap and delicious dine-in food. The drinks and dessert have a wide variety with lots of options for everyone. Bubble waffle is a must try as well as their milk tea and lemon tea!
Very very salty food! We order Clams & Glass noodle claypot, and other four dishes. Basically they taste like ingredients soaking in salty soup. Gross!
The food here is definitely good. However, the service here isn't that great. Be prepared to order fast and have staff here be rude. The way they give your food was definitely not friendly. The restaurant was very small and expected to he squished together with other people.
The food here has deteriorated so much lately. I paid a visit yesterday and overheard a customer ordered a drink with less ice, the waitress said (in a rude tone) “less ice will cost you $2 extra”. The customer was shock, so do I. I ordered minced pork with green beans, I was given mostly pork lard and felt hungry even after finishing it. Portion was small and meat given were lard, inedible. I understand inflation has put pressure on costs, but the serving and what was served is wrong.
Amazing food. Try the Curry with Roti if you want to try something other then noodles and rice. Great options on drinks and desserts. New found love ️
Would recommend but must come early! It gets packed really quick. Food and price is excellent. Most of the service was great but the girl at the counter not so much. Overall would come back l.
Well it used to be quite good, but with the above venue's toilet leaking with sandbags at the kitchen door, water all over the floor, not somewhere you'd really want to be.
The food was OK but san choi bau served tepid (sitting in a container?) No prawn to be found in the chick and prawn dumplings that came out so fast, they had to be microwaved, not steamed fresh. Beef hotpot fairly good and salt n pepper calamari was a little greasy but passable.
Won't be back sorry.
Good service and cheung fun is good. It’d be better if you can heat your clay pot before serving if food is not cooked inside. Otherwise it’s good. Milk tea is good
Pretty good value for money, if you're nostalgic for some HK street style 肠粉 and 鱼蛋 this is the place to go. 奶茶 pretty authentic. 鸡蛋仔 could be crispier.
We order the
Beef noodles - bland boring flavours
Dumplings - very average probably best dish we had
Pop corn chicken - really bad 1 star
Sweet and sour pork - mid
Lychee drink - actually really good solid 4 stars
Overall disappointing would not recommend
Waited nearly an hour for desserts to come out after our main meals were served. Told them multiple times and got ignored by the rude staff when we kept asking about them. Food was alright but char siu was too sweet. Truffle fried rice was the only good item on the menu.
Lunch special only 12.9 is relatively chip now for a main course and a drink. I ordered milk tea for the drink. The drink was nice. But the seafood rice tastes bad. Probably should order something else like noodles. The servicing speed for seafood rice is slow as well. The services of this one is at par. The environment is okay. Need to order by scanning the code.
Loved the pineapple bun! Really crispy, soft, buttery, and not too sweet. The HK milk tea was also really good, the taste of tea is especially strong with HK milk tea.
The cheese bake pork chop rice was alright, portion was generous. Quick service and reasonable prices.
Totally over rated. The food was disgusting. Ordered abalone chicken congee with the RAW chicken. Wok tosted clam totally different from the picture and ingredients. Added like a few spoon of salt and msg. Cant even taste the clam. All the food and ingredients taste like frozen food from the asian market. Even the sauce too.
Never trust thr star but need to experienced yourself.
Will never recommend to anyone. Waste your money.
